Well, I finally solved my missing passwords problem. It seems that my Opera version was out of date even tho it said it was the latest(for my Windows 7) OS.
While browsing another posting, there was a new link to download for W7. After download and install, ver 95.0.4635.90,
my password save manager now works.
I am a happy camper.

RE: Another missing passwords problemOpera for Windows
@burnout426 Thank you for the lengthy reply.
First, I had no control over what version is installed on my system. As I reported above, going to the settings/help/about opera it reports back: "Version:85.0.4341.75
Opera is up to date".
I have always let opera auto update so I never got opera from any other source. My version of opera claims that it is up to date at ver 85.
Your solution is rather lengthy and prone to errors on my part. Where you state i am to click on the 3 dots to the right of the passwords won't work because there aren't 3 dots because it doesn't show any passwords.
It's interesting you say to export my passwords. I had no idea there was an export function. Doing that will help a lot because this whole endeavor was so that I could replicate my passwords from my main machine.
Now I will try the export from that machine. Both of my machines are basically for engineering work and browsing. no social media, etc. -

RE: Another missing passwords problemOpera for Windows
I have been a user on Opera for over 20 years. Of course I have logged on and used the password manager all that time.
I just now logged off this forum and logged back on automatically. i have about 30+ tabs open and there are other sites that I;m logged on to.
But, I will say it again-I cannot see my passwords, with sites, in the settings under passwords. Obviously the passwords are there, just that I cannot view them. -
RE: Another missing passwords problemOpera for Windows
I am automatically signed in to this forum(how, I do not know) so I must have a password.
No sites are listed, including opera. I have auto sign in checked(on).
searching for "passwords", the auto fill section shows a pop-up claiming 6 results.
The line shows "saved passwords will appear here" , but no passwords show. That's all I know. Interesting that I'm logged in to Opera but no auto sign in entry shows for it.

Another missing passwords problemOpera for Windows
My passwords seem to there but not visible to me. Like, I just logged onto this forum by providing the password(I never saw the popup to save it). I logged out and logged back in again automatically, so that means my password was saved. There are other sites, eg, Amazon and eBay that I'm auto logged into. But the settings/password doesn't show any passwords at all.
Where oh where did they go?

@leocg Yes-that was it! I'm pretty sure I didn't set it on, but now I know how to get rid of these.
Thanks. Please close. - Opera for Windows

[Solved]How to block a podcast interruptionOpera for Windows
Somehow I am getting a mini popup in the lower right of my screen that is a podcast from a news organization. I did not ask for this intrusion and want it stopped. It isn't anything I did through an email as it is targeting my IP address, not my user name or any other identity.
I sent email to the news org to stop it but how do they even know who I am.
I looked thru the settings but couldn't find any way to stop it. -
When tab selected, it shifts to the left and causes cancel from cursorOpera for Windows
This has been going on for s a long time. I finally decided to report it.
On my laptop I have 30 or more tabs open at once.
When I click a tab, it opens the window but the tab shifts left directly under the cursor, which deletes the window. This doesn't occur all the time, but often enough that I just can't take it anymore. If it shifted to the right, there would be no problem. -
RE: [Solved]Speaker/audio became disabled todayOpera for Windows
Problem went away on its own. The possible cause might have been due to another tab grabbing the audio and I wasn't aware of it.
Problem closed. -
[Solved]Speaker/audio became disabled todayOpera for Windows
Opera Version:95.0.4635.84
Something weird happened as I was listening to a podcast. The audio went silent while listening. I was listening and at the same time browsing other web sites on different tabs. Somehow I mis-clicked a tab(don't know what I did) and the audio went dead. Nothing shows in settings for audio options.
My laptop audio display shows the audio is at 100%. I closed everything and rebooted but still nothing.
The audio plays fine in windows explorer. -
RE: Password manager not saving passwordsOpera for Windows
Weird, I was able to log in with my user and password in the Opera system. I don't know when the login credentials got activated.
I do not have a Microsoft account installed.
Note: When I click on the Opera menu icon, it shows in the list of options "signed in as pdw". I have never seen that before.
I have exited Opera and restarted it many times since I opened this problem so don't know when the password became active.

Password manager not saving passwordsOpera for Windows
A new computer, Lenovo, Opera is not saving my passwords. Yes-the feature is checked in settings. Just now, I logged in to Opera, by entering email and password. The notice above to save password was not visible. Looking in password settings, the Opera site info did not exist.
After logging out and re-log back in, the autofill put in my email address but did not have the password. This seems to be an old problem as there are many similar problems, but no resolutions. Opera is up to date.

RE: Weird problem with NOAA SnowmapOpera for Windows
@pdw The problem is back again. After Opera crashed last night and opened the page again, the problem is there once again. I don't know what causes the problem and what causes it to go away..
Note: I made sure I have the latest .net installed.
