  Have you checked to see if your Adobe Flash is up to date? Go to the Adobe website and try to find out. If not, download the latest version in the Opera browser.

  Here's a similar type site. Daily Motion.com. Do you have the same problem there?

  Also, do you have the same problem in Opera 20 (if you have it on your computer?) How about on another browser, if you have any on your computer (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)

  What Operating system are you using? Could the problem be the speed of your computer, or the weakness of a wifi signal?

  A proper window title bar, like every other application.
  I never understood why Chrome got rid of this, it breaks standardised look and feel, as well as many "always on top" apps like music players.

  Chrome, Firefox, IE and even Opera Presto on its default settings as well as many other softwares in the last couple of years at least. This is the tendency now.

  I don't know of any other programs that do this, other than browsers - in fact, I'd forgotten other browsers had this as a default setting, copying Chrome, because I don't tend to use them! At least Presto has a quick fix to revert to standard, why can't new Opera? It really is a deal breaker for me, along with the tabs.

  There is a setting to disable the speed dial search, but it is hidden really well. Haven't seen a way to change it.

  (You go to Settings, click outside the search box, then using the keyboard enter the old Konami code to enable "Power User mode":

  up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a

  Do that, and a number of hidden settings appear in the Browser page, with disabling the speed dial search in the "Start page" section near the bottom.

  Oh yeah, whochan got in trouble before for trying to promote his other extensions (reported in the old forum of course), as soon as I saw he was the author I wasn't surprised at all. It's an expension for Opera 12, not sure it works in newer versions (doubtful due to the nature of the extension though) ... generally his stuff has worked as advertised, other than the ads for his other extensions.

  If you'll read through the comments you see that some other people reported an earlier version last year ...

  Well after the helpful comments here I went ahead and installed the update, and it was in fact 12.17. I've now got it set to never check for updates, so I won't end up with installation files already downloaded again.

  Updating extensions?

  After reading what it does, it seems that the extensions indeed do get updated automatically, even in v20. Not sure if they are silent too, but they very likely are.

  All it does is change the value inside the preferences file from the config folder for the next time opera should look for extensions updates by setting it to a couple of years from now which basically disable updating.

  The value to change is located under the extensions section, under autoupdate and looks like this:

  "next_check": "13043105586919488"

  I can't seem to remember how time written like this is called though so I'm not sure how to convert it into something readable.

  Nope...dragging it to a label just creates a pointer. As soon as I delete the message from the IMAP folder, it deletes from the label's folder as well. Too bad. The ability to create local folders would really make the stand-alone package still a very excellent all around e-mail client. But this deficiency really weakens the IMAP aspect. Folder creation was never part of Opera even though it has to be a piece of cake to have included it, and since the development of this software is over, it may be time to switch--unfortunately.

  Here's a more competent form - a one-key toggle, which doesn't rely on screen position & works regardless of resizing.

  The 1-second delay, waiting for the settings page to load, isn't always enough; seems to take especially long when one is on this site, for some reason. But no harm is done if it fails.

  Any... It's standalone anyways...
  It's your pick, either you mind the hassle of downloading the newest installer (a must since you won't want to break the compatibility of your user data profile by installing an old version!) and installing when you need to move your stuff to another fresh computer or you don't.

  Du solltest JavaScript wirklich nicht mehr generell abschalten. Es gibt kaum eine Seite, die ohne komplett funktioniert.
  Das ist fast schon so als ob du HTML im Browser verbietest. Und JavaScript kann sowieso keinen Schaden auf deinem PC anrichten, weil es keinen Dateizugriff hat 😉
