  Monitoring the file(s) over the last couple of days, in which I've not closed the browser or rebooted the computer, the "Session" and ".dbak" files are at 5,344 KB and the "journal" file at 16 KB.

  Browser, so far, runs fine, though, pending a closing and re-opening and/or a reboot of the system. It sometimes can get a day or two of good use from the browser before the Flash starts acting up. Will keep a monitor on the situation. But if it's anything like how it's been recently I'll get problems before too long.

  There is no arrow icon on the address bar for this, but you can focus on the address bar and use the down arrow on the keyboard instead.

  First - to me it shows that .134 is the latest version. Second - I disabled all the extensions, restarted Opera, enabled them all again and ... all clips are working. Weird.

  PS. Vines still aren't working but I think I'll start a new thread for them.

  Just noticed that Twitch will play streams at 60fps with no issue other than Twitch having one of its iffy buffering days.

  I've tried disabling extensions to see if that helped, no effect.

  Windows 7 x64 fully updated (I update regularly.)
  Eset Security (Real version, no cracks or anything else that could mess with the system.)
  As I wrote, IE, word and other programs show no problems when using keyboard or hotkeys.

  Yeah, nah. You are incorrect. If you hit more options and then look for another app on this PC it will let you browser for any .exe file you want. I just tested it with Windows 8.1.

  Not at the moment, no. The dev team are trying to figure out a way for users to be able to set their own default engines without malware-type programs being able to take them over (as you see with many other browsers).

  This is intended behavior. The Opera menu does not share the functions of the standard window menu (close, maximize, minimize, etc) so double clicking it should not close the browser. This is just one of the many different things to expect from newer versions of Opera.

  I have the newsfeed (which I have set to auto prune every month - I will reduce this now) and the gmail extensions.
  No, I have not played with flags, afaik.

  I like the continue where I left off feature.
  Bit of a pain this, but at least I know where to "fix" it now.

  Yeah, its damaged. Get something like Revo Uninstaller, completely remove Opera and reinstall it. If its still doing it after that you will probably have to format your drive and reinstall windows.

  Ah, yes. HTTPS everywhere has had a rough go of it the last few weeks. I know many people that have uninstalled it, myself included, because its been breaking things.

  Well I'm not sure about AdBlock Plus, I've read a few dodgy things about that, but I use AdBlock on 12.17 and it works very well, even though it's not supported on 12.17 any more.
  I agree about the widgets, they were a bit of a waste of time, proper extensions are much better, and there are plenty of them for 12.17 of course.
  Maybe that's what they meant by "better desktop organisation and customisation options", extensions, because they certainly aren't built into the new browser!
  I'm not saying that they should be I hasten to add, as you say it's a different approach now, for better or worse.
