Any way to get Opera (28+) to work with this?

There is an excellent set of utilities available from Microsoft called Sysinternals. Years ago they were an independent project but over time the utils became so good that MSFT hired the author, made him one of their top TechNet technical evangelists, and bought the code.
Between ProcessMonitor, DiskMon, and ProcessExplorer, you should be able to track down what is doing your read/write activity.
Also see and check out the utilities from NirSoft.
Other than manual cutting and pasting, is there any way to extract Speed Dial entries from an Opera installation?
Failing that, anyone know which of the files or databases contain Speed Dial?
Thanks
The current Adobe flash beta installers are at v17.0.0.141 for the pi, ppapi, and ax players. Grab the flash installers from the Adobe site, use the adobe deinstaller to remove all of your flash players, then reinstall the current v17 beta.
The Extension <New Tab Start Page Pro> seems to do the job, thanks
On O28, Win7/64
is there a way?
(we're experimenting with new/fresh installs of O28 instead of constantly upgrading older installs. We seem to have come across some unfortunate upgrade behavior where we see 'features' or configurables that are pulled or changed from version to version, but remain in place with the old behavior instead of the 'new' behavior in the upgraded version.)
Ok, it's non-obvious, but using the zoom +- keys takes care of this. O remembers the last view of the bookmark and SD pages.
Maybe document this somehow, put +- buttons on the pages, etc.

Fresh install, the speed dial and bookmark icons are 'stuck' at the default 4 across size.
How to change/adjust to say six or seven across or (better) can this be made flexible based on the resolution of the monitor or size of the Opera tab/windows?
thanks
Operas 'value add' over stock Chrome is getting to be less and less advantageous to me as more and more Chrome extensions stop working under Opera.
Has anyone made the move away from O to Chrome?
