  When Opera is open on a system, there are multiple processes running with multiple files open. If one of the open files requires correct closure from one of the processes when Opera shuts down, an "improper" PC shutdown may deprive it of that and result in file corruption or lost entries. The installed extension database may simply be the first or weakest link in the collapse chain. Trying to decipher the specific reason for peculiarities in the death throes of a program on an improperly shut down PC can be an exercise in frustration. There's a reason all software and computer makers will tell you never to "improperly" shut down a PC... which, of course, doesn't always reflect the reality of sudden surprises occurring beyond a user's control. But power failure is one reason I started using a UPS power system some time ago to avoid this sort of problem, at least from that cause.

  Similar problem here. Most common Router in Germany is the Fritzbox. I cannot save a password here to access the box instead i have to type it in every single time.
  Another problem is, i cannot access my Account on mobile.de. I have to use Firefox here.

  It's obvious from this and previous posts/topics that you have an issue in your PC with a virus, malware, or drivers, or security or speed up software that might be conflicting with Opera.

  I use Opera 29 in several computers without any problems. Other millions of users also use Opera without problems, otherwise the forums would be drowned with topics by now.

  Please look for something like that in your PC. Try AdwCleaner, update the graphics driver, disable/uninstall suspicious programs or antivirus to test whether the issues are solved.

  Please stop spamming the forums with more and more topics about the same subject. I don't have much more time to help so I'll leave a tip: you can find some info by using a search engine, like, Google "site:forums.opera.com your_question" without brackets.

  Opera does not offer bookmarks / Speed Dial export but other browsers might be able to import directly... Like Vivaldi... And MAYBE the Bookmarks file in your Profile is exchangeable with a Chrome or Chromium-based browser Profile. You can try experiment with that, if the Speed Dial isn't moved it might be a good idea to use the Bookmarks manager to move all your SD items to another folder before copying the file.

  If you're running Windows and have its built in shadow copying enabled on the system and drive where the bookmarks file is located, navigate to that file's folder and locate the bookmarks file. Right click it, select Properties, and select the Previous Versions tab at the top of the panel. If there are previous versions stored in the shadow copy records, a list by date and location will appear after a sometimes long search time. You can select an appropriately dated version in order to replace the current version of the file. Do any file replacement/restoration with Opera turned off. Note that shadow copies are only created if the option has been enabled; also, the shadow copy space is limited, and very old files eventually may be removed to make space for new files, over time.

  Ok so after uninstalled Opera, I renamed or deleted all the essential folders of Opera. Then I reinstalled it and it works as good as before. Thank you Lando242 !

  But I maintain my first opinion. No user should have to do that because most of the user would not be able to. It means the update process must have not been tested adequately.

  Well, sgunhouse is right but let me still elaborate...

  When you start Opera (29) there are 2 options. You can start in the Speed dial screen; this is basically an overview of a specific selection of bookmarks. Or you can choose to display one (or more) pages. But those pages will only be shown during startup, the "homepage" as you might know this on other browsers is basically the speed dial screen.

  For example: if you close the last time you'll go back to speed dial.

  Now, to set the starting page:

  Go to your settings (alt-p) You'll see the "On startup" section in the "browser" tab

  There you can pick what you'd like. Either Opera continues where you were, it opens the start page or you can make it open a specific page (or more).

  Clearing your history should do it.
  Also, if you make a site part of your search engines (even if its not a search engine, wink wink) you can assign it a key. 'g' for Google, 'w' for Wikipedia, that kind of thing. If you type that key and a space in the address bar and hit enter it will take you to that site.

  Thank you, clearing my history worked! Not sure why I didn't think of that in the first place.
  Also, I did realise that there's something a bit off with my Opera version after I submit my post.
  For some reason my browser never actually told me that there's a completely new version avaliable. So I was oblivious this whole time.

  Edit: I installed Opera 29 as a stand-alone to check it out... Why everything looks so blurry? I searched in the options and there's seems to be no option to disable that.

  Opera does not officially support Chrome extensions. There is an extensions you can use to load them from the Chrome store. Its called 'Download Chrome Extension'. You can find it in the Opera store. Just remember, even with it not all Chrome extensions will work with Opera.

  The developers are willing to make the 64bit version? I am not saying they can't do it, I am asking if they want.

  I guess they will release a 64 bits version at some point but it's not something top priority for them as you can use the 32 bits version on a 64 bits system.

  Also, a 64 bits version would bring issues also like lack of plugins, among others.
