  Go to Opera Menu > About and it will tell you where your profile folder is located. Since your destination system is Windows 8.1 you can just copy the whole folder over and replace. Be forewarned; if you replace the folder it will erase anything you have in your profile on the destination machine. This includes bookmarks, speed dials, passwords and the like.

  I have been trying to get away from Firefox based browsers. I like Slimjet 64bit version because it is fast and it offers me one important feature (to me) that Chrome does not offer, and that is a bookmarks side panel that I can keep docked such as what Firefox has. With that being said,their bookmarks side panel does not work as well as the V7 Bookmarks extension does here in Opera. If there was a way that I could get V7 to work in Slimjet, then I would probably use Slimjet exclusively over Opera 30.0. But so far, I have not found a way to do that.

  Interesting discussion. I share many of the expressed opinions having been an Opera addict since Version 3 (you even had to pay for a licence at the time, a few decades ago..) I guess it's partly a generation question. These days people don't really question webservices any more and the ancient Pop3 standard seems to have become more or less extinct. For the time being I'll stick with my dual Opera setup until a real reason comes up to move over to web-based IMAP for mail, such as independency from the hardware you have installed your mail client on.

  Thanks for the tip. Just did a bit of reading, and I see what you mean. Quite a story! Am very curious about Vivaldi (which I just installed to have a look at).

  I do like a lot of the new stuff in the latest versions of Opera, but I really need bookmarks to work normally in my browser, among a few other things.

  I have exactly the same problem. My new Opera is currently 30 while my old Opera (12.17) does not have this problem.

  Content doesn't care if its NPAPI or PPAPI. They are both the same from contents perspective. Also, Chrome does not give you the choice. Its PPAPI or nothing, just like Opera. Opera and Chrome share a renderer of course. Last I heard Firefox was going even further and was simply disabling Flash entirely because of its numerous unfixed security issues.

  you are incorrect. farmville 2 runs on the npapi flash. it does run on ppapi but at a snails pace. there are some games designed to play on the npapi flash. yes you can add the npapi flash back into chrome and firefox. i do have npapi in chrome. opera does not give the choice. i would like it added opera to because its faster than google chrome. i have never had a security issue with flash. i dont know what all the hubbub is about over it.

  I don't understand why the Opera devs would remove that capability.

  They never implemented it so they couldn't remove it. Vista didn't support h264 natively, it was added later trough Windows Update.

  Windows 7 was the first Windows to support h264 natively and Opera can only play html5 videos if it uses a format and a codec that Windows supports natively.

  To set up an account just go to "Mail and Chat accounts" and follow the steps.

  Its not automated. Its a setting in the Opera installer.

  Well, as I certainly agree with the general message of your response (especially on no doing a "blinding click install"), I should note that the scenario that I was describing (or was trying to describe) is on an already installed Opera (installed several months ago).

  And, on this existing installation, what I was doing was the setup two different profiles, using the flag "--user-data-dir=" on a couple of shortcuts.

  That's why I considered weird to see some sites with my user already logged in.

  Go to the Opera menu, navigate to bookmarks and right click the folder you wish to order alphabetically. You will see 'Sort alphabetically' in the right click menu. This must be don't in the Opera menu and not the bookmarks manager, as the bookmarks manager does not currently support it.

  If you mean the animated section at the top of the frame, it seems to be fine here in Opera developer 32, and in Opera 12.17, although it's a bit clunky in the latter!

  Happened to me too, and it's annoying that we cannot disconnect a device without using the device (in the same state).
  Hope Opera has something like "device manager". So that we can easily select which of connected devices that should disconnected.

  i delete the folder"icejourney's" in bookmark ,then the tab in activity gone.But the tab icejourney's(2) still exists.
