  You could try an extension for that -- like Sexy Undo Close Tab, which is pretty good. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/sexy-undo-close-tab/bcennaiejdjpomgmmohhpgnjlmpcjmbg. All you need to do is click on the extension icon-button on the icon bar (to the right of the address bar) to see the closed tabs.

  To use a Chrome extension, all you need is the Opera extension, called, Download Chrome Extension.

  Not something you can do in Opera 21 AFAIK, at least not in the way you can in Opera 12.
  BTW never put your e-mail address openly in a forum post.
  It will be harvested by spammers!

  It's a bit disappointing to find that Opera have abandoned something so handy. That Vimium thing is a bit of an improvement, but it's still very limited compared to what Opera used to be capable of.

  Does anyone know any other browsers which are able to do similar things to the older versions of Opera?

  Nevermind the above. Just download make_m2_default_client.zip, extract it, view the readme and merge. That should do the trick. (Basically researched how Thunderbird does it and copied it.)

  That reg file above worked for me.

  I click on a file it should have an option to open it vs save and then open.

  Thanks for the clarification. I don't know the answer to your question, but I assume:

  For the database files Opera has in common with Chrome, they're the same. Meaning, you could see what you can find about Chrome's.

  For Opera-specific SQLite databases, there's nothing publicly available that I know of.

  Maybe someone else will know more.

  Having the same issue here. There are certain file types that I want to open automatically with a designated application when I download it.

  Maybe someone with Chrome experience know how to resolve this?

  Whoops. It only works if I click on a link on my Bookmarks toolbar. If I click on a link within an open web page, it does not work. I checked on another computer. On that computer if i click on a link within a web page, I get a new tab. So, I still have the problem.

  Problem fixed. Some how Opera was put into "Off Road' mode. Unchecked it and Speed Dial can be updated again.

  Ctrl+Shift+click and Shift+Middle-click works.

  But not like before.

  Now, it opens a tab up and shifts focus to that tab, where as before, it opened it in the background. Not a total deal breaker for me but I sure don't like it. Sure I can use the right-click option of "Open link in new tab." But that is sooo much slower.

  OOPS. Just discovered (By accident) that I can use ctrl-click to open in the background. Good deal.

  2 big keyboard shortcuts I used all the time.

  alt-a close page and switch to next page
  alt-z reopen page

  Sure wish I could have those 2 back.

  That's what I do, leocg. But before I do that, I clear/clean the history, so that the profile doesn't take up as much space.
