Q2: In my Windows "Programs and Features" Uninstall window, there's the old Opera "23.0.1522.72" (250Mb or so) program and a newer one "24.0.1558.64" a similar size.

Usual behavior, the current and the last (or two last, don't remember now) will be kept. You can delete the old ones if you want.
why I can not hear the sound on this page?

Don't want to confuse things, but you might want to make sure which trash folder they have gone to. If they are only in Opera Mail's trash file on the computer then they will stay there. But if they are also in gmail's IMAP synchronised trash folder then I think you need to watch out because gmail normally deletes whatever is in the trash after two weeks. It would be much better to undelete them as suggested.

Hi blackbird71: Thank you for your reply. The pages are not the same. I have tried various pages and all open with Chrome no problem. Amazon.com is an example of one page that will not open with Opera. I am not using a proxy nor any type of VPN, just straight through to the Internet. One thing I have noticed is that any pages that have successfully opened in Opera will open again if I close Opera and reopen it; however, new pages typically won't open.

The new bookmarks manager in Opera beta 25 is OK but its difficult to move folders - for example in Firefox you can move folders and drop them inside another (nested folders). Once you add a folder its difficult to delete it other than using the dropdown menu at the top. Also there's no right click menu. I'll give Opera the benefit of the doubt as this is Opera beta but I hope they improve it before updating the stable release.

Oh and another function missing is clicking on the scroll on the tabs area , it opens a new tab in Opera 12, but here it doesn't do anything..

The main reason people are sticking with Opera 12 is that the interface and options are perfectly fit for purpose for non-tablets.

Too often people say 'you can't stop progress' when progress seems to be 'remove useful things from an application and most people will just accept it even if it isn't as good as previously.

Speed is not an overall issue it is usability etc.

Anyway, I don't want to get into that 'argument' - when 'they' are still trying to get the new Opera functionality upto the old one even after years you know something is wrong.

There is a bit of a delay for me before the thumbnails populate, but it's only a second or two, and then they all populate very quickly.
Mind you, I never go in on the main page, which has loads of thumbnails, my link is https://www.youtube.com/feed/subscriptions which just brings up the latest additions from the channels I'm subscribed to.
That combined with the YouTubeCenter extension, which is set to display the thumbnails in a vertical column rather than across the page, results in it loading pretty fast.

Everything was already discussed and answered before. And by the way, Opera 25 will have a bookmark's manager which can also be enabled on Opera 24 through opera:flags.

Click on Settings in the menu (or Alt P), then click on Opera Help, then click on Navigate with Shortcuts. There you have the mouse and keyboard shortcuts

I'm not facing such issue here. Pop-ups can show up sometimes but this is not very often.

How are the pop-ups showing up? Just loading a page makes them appear or you need to do something (click on a link, etc)?
Hotmail for Opera 12.16 now doesn't work. Won't open new emails.

There is "save into download folder" here (Op.11.61). Without "picture".
It's in the context menu on a link hover.

There are four main versions of Opera for desktops, all with latest versions. Opera (Presto) 12.17, Opera 24 (Blink, Stable), Opera 25 (Blink, Beta) and Opera 26 (Blink, Development build).

Unless something where added to 25 or 26, its just 24 with more stuff. So yeah, when I go on twitch, and click the popup button, why does it spawn a new window, and how do I prevent that?
