[Solved] how many "opera.exe" processes need to run for each open browser web page?Opera for Windows
Hi I'm new here. And I'm not at all able to code or program etc. Ie., I'm a 65y/o Journalist-in-exile luddite.
On a 2006 Toshiba laptop, which Opera runs well on, (much better than most other browsers), in the laptop's "Task Manager" "Processes" window, I notice there are many "opera.exe." processes running a once, which, having not a clue as to what they do, and with my being something of a dissident, would like to know how many opera.exe programs, apps, or whatever they are, need to run at any given time, for ...., say .... three browser windows open concurrently.
Starting the browser just now, with 3 pages open from my last session, when I opened the task manager processes window, 15 (Fifteen ) opera.exe thingees were running.
Can someone tell me what they might be doing, and are they anything to do with unwanted hackers "tuning-in"?
(In my next life, I'm gunna learn to code!!!)
Cheers.

RE: Export Bookmarks to another browser?Opera for Windows
It must be scum of ASIO/CIA stopping me from seeing the page/window for exporting bookmarks.

Export Bookmarks to another browser?Opera for Windows
How TO?
Can't find a link in Opera settings etc, for exporting it's/my bookmarks to another browser (Tor).
Not hot with computers.
Still...?
It's something like saving them to a file or folder to my desktop or such, isn't it?
Then uploading them onto the Tor browser, Y/N? -

Transparent browser pages option!Suggestions and feature requests
Often I watch weather on satellite, and want to know "which Island is that?", etc., as a cyclone approaches.
So is it possible (for other uses too no doubt), to have the option to make a browser age "TRANSPARENT", so it can be moved on top of other browser pages, or drawing software pages to say, compare, or to copy or such, by seeing through one page to the image beneath?
Of course, this idea could-perhaps-SHOULD, be made applicable to things like drawing programs too, so they could be laid over top of webpages, etc, and one could draw, compare or whatever from the image held below on the webpage underneath.
Crazy idea? They are often later called "Progressive ideas!" or "Forward thinking ideas!", or "ahead of his/her/it's time" ideas!
But hey, I'm cool with "crazy"!

RE: Opera 27 - How do you sort bookmarks?Opera for Windows
Hi! Gets better each update! Opera I mean!
Question: "Bookmarks" similar to the Q; above;
When I bookmark a link, it goes to the bottom of the folder's files' list. I'm in journalism of the amateur type, but it has me bookmark LOTS of media articles into various folders.
So, merely as an improvement suggestion for Opera, what about having a or ALL freshly bookmarked links landing at the top of the folder's [inside] list, rather than having to scroll each time to the bottom to re-get the latest bookmarked file?
The same applies to putting or moving "sub-folders" into more main folders. When one drops a file or folder into a folder [derr?] can it not be set so it lands at the TOP of the list, rather than being buried waaaay down at bottom? [NO! Wait! Folders is different aye? Oop!]
Yeah, I can lift each newly deposited file or folder up top, but each time, when I'm BMking several files at a time, covering a news topic and post, it slows things down, and is, I reckon, simply one of those unnecessary inefficiencies of the always-developing browser system.
It'd make my days easier, no question, and seems like a logical improvement?
Is that understandable?
Great system Opera! Thanks!

RE: Change username, & uninstalling old version of Opera (23.0.1522.73)?Opera for Windows
I ask Q2: simply because I'm used to seeing any version updates removing the previous versions.

Change username, & uninstalling old version of Opera (23.0.1522.73)?Opera for Windows
Simple really,
Q1: I haven't used the "log-in" & membership for Opera for so long I've changed my preferred username, so want to also change it on these Opera member's page. But can't see how to?
Q2: In my Windows "Programs and Features" Uninstall window, there's the old Opera "23.0.1522.72" (250Mb or so) program and a newer one "24.0.1558.64" a similar size.
Me "computer dumbie numma wun"! Can I uninstall the older "23-point-something" Opera software without messing up the newer browser and stuff?
Please, thank you!
