Opera Mail: beginner with a weird questionOpera for Windows
Hello
Until a few days ago I used only Thunderbird. Then I had issues with Thunderbird. I had about 30000 emails in it in a complex set up: gmail synced to it, native ISP email accounts etc.
So I decided to have my ISP email account in Thunderbird and my gmail synced in another email client. I found Opera Mail. I hadn't heard of it before. It has done a terrific job! It is organizing my emails a lot better IMO than what Thunderbird did.
My issue is this. By accident in Thunderbird I deleted about 20000 emails a few days ago. I thought they were gone. I didn't intend this. I wanted the emails back. Now in Opera Mail without me doing anything the 20000 emails are back! They are in the "trash" section of Opera Mail. I am very happy to see this! They include many emails for registering software, serial codes etc. Their loss would have been at best a huge hassle. At worst I might have lost my software if I uninstalled my software such as formz.
So what are my options with these 20000 trash emails that are in fact treasure? Is there a default setting that will permanently remove them after say a week? If so I would like to remove that setting so that the emails remain there while I look through them, copy them to another folder etc.
Thank you
