This bug appears to be fixed in the latest version.

I'm now running Opera One (version: 102.0.4880.46). No more crashes when new tabs are opened with the (+) icon.

I will admit this ... I use openSuse Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma on 2 desktops and two laptops.

I use Chrome, Chrome Beta, Brave, Firefox, Opera ... they all have the "missing KDE titlebar". It's a trend. KDE can be partly to blame.

I also use openSuse MicroOS Kalpa in a VM (testing it out). It's an immutable rolling release operating system (with KDE Plasma) and all apps exist as flatpaks (can use rpms too). I did the same workaround for browsers in MicroOS.

Anyway - onward thru the fog ...

it's not too useful with out the home button.
but since it wont load my local HTML file (my home page), maybe it is an omen I should stick with Vivaldi.

@vr51 Aria is basically ChatGPT with access to the internet, so she should be able to do whatever ChatGPT can do.

As most have reported back, "fixed" with recent version.

You didn't mention the version you're running or your environment.

Works fine here with current version on a desktop and a laptop (openSuse Tumbleweed).

Keep in mind, this is a user-to-user forum 👍🏻

I just updated, all menus are back. In my case, they seem just a tad bit slower than usual, but no flickering whatsoever. One less thing to worry about.

I think this might be the last straw for me. Opera so far has demonstrated some neat features but it requires way too many extensions just to do incredibly basic things and then it pulls stunts like this.

It seems to be intermittent. I'm not sure what triggers the fault. A site's menu might work fine the first few pages then suddenly the secondary nav tabs become non clickable.

I work with a lot of websites where I have to test each one's UX so I get to see this fault frequently.

This might be a related issue. Some sites lose keyboard page scroll functionality midway through a session. Again, it is an intermittent bug. The up and down arrow keys will work great for a couple of pages within a site then suddenly cease to function in their up/down scroll capacity. Scroll bar functionality continues to work. Mouse wheel continues to work. Keyboard up/down arrow keys cease to function. Keyboard otherwise works fine.

In case other web developers arrive here in search of an answer to localhost invalid SSL certs causing Opera to require re-login after browser restart, the solution is to visit opera://flags/#allow-insecure-localhost to enable the Allow Insecure Loclhost setting then relaunch the browser.
