Open up the Windows Task Scheduler, click on "Task Scheduler Library" and click on "Opera scheduled Autoupdate". Then, look on the "Triggers" tab. It should show you that an autoupdate is scheduled on system startup and at a certain time. You can delete the task and uninstall and reinstall Opera (while choosing not to delete your data) to repair task.
