@daria19:
I'm back to version 118.0.5411.0 for now. In the current version 118.0.5415.0, I had too many crashes of various tabs due to a lack of memory. In Facebook, only a few new posts were usually loaded, then an error message "An error occurred" appeared with the advice that I should try again. Is there an artificial intelligence built into the version that snoozes the tabs in such a case? I certainly didn't trigger that. I have about 70 tabs open.

@ralf-brinkmann: Hello! Could you kindly let us know if the option "Snooze inactive tabs to save memory" is disabled as well? Thank you!
Hi @daria19!
I didn't know the English entry in the settings and simply translated the German text with Google Translate.Is there anywhere else I need to check or change something?

What does this mean:
"The tab has been switched to standby mode to save storage space"
It's a Google tab and I am working in it.
The menu item
"Put inactive tabs into standby mode to save storage space"
in the settings menu is not activated.W11x64, Operax64

RE: Opera 117.0.5383.0 developer updateBlogs
Hi @daria19! Thank you for your fast answer.
What I need is a page-specific translation from any language, as many translation tools offer. My favorite tool in Opera is ImTranslator, which also provides very good translations, but on some pages the texts are not marked as "read", so I keep seeing them presented as unread. This part works with the Opera translation, but the translations are sometimes too word for word. And as I said, I would like certain pages to ALWAYS be translated. The best translation is provided by Google Chrome itself, but unfortunately this is not available in Opera. -

Can someone please tell me how I can set the translation tool in Opera so that it always automatically translates all posts from a certain site (for example https://forum.dxo.com/)? It doesn't matter what language. Only from this site, nothing else.

Very strange. If this was just a temporary folder, then it would have to be removed after a successful download or something similar. But it stubbornly remains there. At the moment this folder contains two subfolders,both of which are empty.

@daria19,
there is nothing special in my installation steps. I have Opera installed as standalone version, I downloaded the *.exe file and started the installation as usual. That's what I do for many years now.
This hidden .opera folder is always there for a lot of versions now, but I can't remember it was there in previous years. I can't say exactly when I noticed it the first time. But it's always there. When I delete it it will be recreated in a short time. -
RE: Opera 117 developerBlogs
Question:
What is the hidden folder ".opera" in my download folder for and how can I prevent it from being created in the first place?

RE: Opera 116.0.5356.0 developer updateBlogs
I still have a problem with the translation tool:
The tool tells me, that the translation is done. But it is not done, it is still English, not German.
Sometimes the translation tool does not recognize the language of the text on a page. In the older versions I could then change "Erkannte Sprache" ("recognized language") to the language on this page, for example English or French, and then start the translation.
But in this new build I don't see a button for such a choice.
Please improve the translation tool!And please try your luck yourself: https://forum.dxo.com/t/tulsa-zoo-has-a-newborn-baby-siamang/40996
