I'm hoping there is a way to keep the current music track Opera GX is using, I'd rather have the ability to chose from whatever is available but I'd prefer to keep the present one as my default.

Will we also have the ability to select which track we prefer or is it 'baked in'
to the browsers behaviour ?

Both browsers have their +/- points and frustration is a part of running both.
I keep different browsers for all manner of situations, it's not an ideal scenario
but with todays current crop of browsers it has become a necessity to do so.

Still working fine here Jack and I've had it running for over an hour without a hiccup.
I realize that this doesn't help you out but just offering feedback
Not sure if me being located in Australia has any bearing on this though.

I've only ever used it when Opera's VPN goes down but I've had no issues with Windscribe since using it.
it serves me as a temporary fix but I've never used it long-term.

I'm using 'Windscribe' - Free VPN and Ad Blocker at present while this issue is ongoing.
I find it a useful option when Opera VPN has this issue.

I reckon the more 'extensions' you have enabled in Opera the worse your memory usage will be.
at least that's what I've found out since extensions were introduced.
I've got to the stage whereby they remain 'disabled' if I don't use them on a regular basis.

very strange indeed, the only way I could get it back was to uninstall the extension and then re-install

Using a color scheme similar to IObit Uninstaller would be a treat but I guess everyone would have
their own choice of theme if they could, look at 'Vivaldi' the choices are there at least.

Tried several times but Mozilla Firefox fails to show in apps selection Windows 10 latest build but thanks again.

I just chose Install Path and Stand-alone installation...Opera did the rest
make sure of course you are installing the 'portable version'
I've now opted to use opera this way instead of having it on my C: Drive, I much prefer it.
I chose to install mine to a secondary drive where I keep all my portable programs.

it is..at least on mine it is...Opera Portable\profile\data

Install: J:\Opera Portable
Profile: J:\Opera Portable\profile\data
Cache: J:\Opera Portable\profile\data

Just frustrating that I can't set it as 'default browser'

Nothing works to solve this at present (Version:59.0.3211.0)
it's a game changer for me, I much prefer my NEW tabs as google.
I think if this makes it to 'Stable' build then I'll opt for something else other than Opera

Just downloaded a version from Opera Addons and seems to be working fine...Version 4.2.5291
at least it hasn't been blocked as of yet.
