Hmm, no it's in the tab switcher/manager screen. It makes more sense than you imagine...
Or at least move sync tabs into a speed dial folder, like bookmarks now.
Don't give that idea to them, they'll end up doing it.
Bookmarks should get moved out of the Speed Dial. I want sync to let me have the same speed Dial I have in my PC in my phone, and those are kind of conflicting ideas since there's no Bookmarks tile in the desktop... Saved Pages should have their own place too.
If you use the user agent switcher extension to identify as Chrome, it works fine in the Opera Developer version at least.

Not sure if the extension constantly updates itself to use the user-agent string for the newest stable version of Chrome, but if it does, you can just keep it set to identify as Chrome. There might be a user-agent extension that allows you to do that for only the sites you want, which would be better.
