As I said, I couldn't reproduce the issue here, the video pop-out doesn't affect the address bar.

If you do a search, you should be able to find out in which version of Chromium the blocking started and, consequently, the version of Opera.

@henrikerlandsson Did you do all the steps before posting? What are the examples of pages where you see the problem happening? What are the steps to try to reproduce the problem? What's the OS?

YouTube works fine in Opera here by the way.

Do file assocations work in the latest Opera?

It works fine here, Opera opens all files that it can open.

Is there some setting that prevents the normal opening of say, .txt links in the browser?

Not that I know but bad mime types from the site may do it.
