82.0.4227.33 has caused problems for me (there seems to be a memory leak) and I'd like to revert.

I would also like to make it 64-bit, since I have a 64-bit OS. I've been using Opera for 10 years, and this is likely why it's been autoupdating the 32-bit. I don't know why it hasn't offered to switch to 64-bit and import "all my stuff".

Bookmarks are a given. They should be easy to export and import.

      I don't use many plugins.

This leaves saved logins, and I want to keep them for convenience. I've updated my passwords as you're supposed to over the years, but may have failed to note one or two changes across a hundred password.

I would also prefer to not have to accept cookies on every site I've visited in 10 years.

I have found the 64-bit version I want to completely replace my current 32-bit version of Opera with. I need no instructions for removal and install, but instructions on how I make 100% the saved logins are read by the installed version.

      Thanks,
      Henrik

@henrikerlandsson Just install it, all your data should be kept.

If you want to remove the current version before, just make sure to not enable the option to remove your data when asked.

@leocg The installer wants to install the 64-bit version in Program Files/x86/Opera. I would like to install it in Program Files. Will this prevent data from being transferred? Also, I would like to stop autoupdates until the next time I install another 64-bit version. How do I do that, so that my fix won't be undone the next time a new version is published?

@henrikerlandsson It's been decades that user data is, by default, stored in a place different from where the program files are.
That said, if you just install a version or two older than the current one, you probably won't loose your data.
And you can always do a backup and use Sync.

@henrikerlandsson Regarding blocking the autoupdate, see the FAQ

Also, do the installation and the above disconnected from the internet.

@henrikerlandsson said in How to install an older version of Opera and keep all saved logins:

You can just click "options" in the installer and change it to "C:\Program Files\Opera". No matter where Opera is installed, it'll still use the same profile path at "%AppData%\Opera Software\Opera Stable". So, you'll be all good.

If you want to be safe though, goto the URL opera://settings/passwords, click the 3 vertical dots to the right of "saved passwords", and choose to export them to a csv file. Then, if for any reason you lose your passwords, you can turn on the flag at opera://flags/#password-import and use the same menu at opera://settings/passwords to import the csv file to get your passwords back.

There's more info at https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/wiki/opera/rollback_version for rolling back to a previous version.
