The Opera "O Menu", top left is now black. Is that the new normal?

This is normal under the new theme Opera made for Windows 10.

BTW the O and the text turns white in case you set a dark color in your Windows' customization settings and have show system color in the top bar set to enabled in Opera's settings.

In certain cases (if you use a dark theme in 10) Opera is practically unusable.

I believe you're talking about high contrast modes? It doesn't seem to be the case here.

Passwords are encrypted using keys unique to the OS installation on the machine. They can only be decrypted using the very same OS installation. In other words, changing OS's or machines means the former system-linked keys originally used to encrypt the data can no longer be retrieved to decrypt the old encrypted data on a new system. It's the Achilles heel of the Chromish password encryption scheme.

The reason I wanted to do this is now no longer needed. I was having trouble with blank rows within the RSS feeds when I opened Opera Mail. I created another copy to see if it was a corrupt database as someone had suggested.

The same thing continued in the new copy of Opera Mail and I found out how it happens.

If I leave any RSS feed selected and shut down Opera Mail it may or may not create those blank rows. If I shut Opera Mail down and anything in the mail section is selected I have no problems.

Also I noticed that if I select Compose and any RSS feed is selected I lose most of the features associated with composing. So as long as I'm anywhere in the mail section and not the RSS feed section all is well.

I think I wasn't very clear. I am using Opera Mail, the stand alone program along with Opera 28, not Opera 12.xx mail.

They are basically the sane thing. The standalone Opera Mail is just Opera 12.xx without the browser part.

Only to say that Facebook was always a problem in 12 and is one of the sites normally given as to why they switched to Chromium ... but I don't use Facebook myself.

I'm still hunting for Classica and Dapper but search comes up empty.

Any way to locate these themes?

What kind of "restore" did you do? If it was just a "system restore", it would not have repaired damage to Opera program files or to any Opera files under a user account... "system restore" only restores critical system files (like the registry, critical windows files, drivers, etc). The only "true" way to restore a system to a month-earlier state would be via using an image's or file-backup's restoration program.

If you did only perform a "system restore", then a corruption or miss-adjustment problem within the Opera files themselves might still be present.

It's not unusual for Opera 11.64 to freeze or crash on closing a tab that's playing a video — especially if the video is still playing.

Try closing and restarting Opera more often, or clear the cache from time to time.

Hi, I noticed that I can no longer watch Netflix (Silverlight) videos since December 10th. I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit with Opera 19. I've tried reloading Silverlight and clearing caches, all the usual stuff with no joy. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
