RE: Loading DelayGeneral
@duncanm I'm using Opera One 117.0.5408.93, same here, definitely a delay when opening that didn't happen before either THIS update or the previous one.

Active Tab ShadeGeneral
The Active Tab Shade For Opera 117.0.5408.53 is the same color/shade of surrounding tabs, used to be the tab that became active turned white (or a much lighter shade of gray.
Is there any way to enable this??

RE: Opera 116.0.5366.71 Stable updateBlogs
@daria19 Here's the 2 different images, the first is the wallpaper screen the way I had it in the previous version that I updated from (But as you can see - the background colors of the Speed Dials Now are almost imperceptible).
Second image is the way I managed to change the wallpaper and the resulting Speed Dial icon background color is black...the way it was in the previous version I updated from
.
In the past, when I updated Opera, the opening page with Speed Dials remains the same, so I was shocked to see the almost transparent Speed Dial icons.

RE: Opera 116.0.5366.71 Stable updateBlogs
I notice the Speed Dial icon backgrounds have changed a couple of times in the last few iterations, is there any way to get back the black backgrounds, instead of the new transparent one in the current version 116.0.5366.71?

@bbildman The same happens on a private window?
Hi Leo, with the advent of Opera One(version: 115.0.5322.77), the slow Google searches seems to have been corrected. Now all seems to be as it should be, thanks to you and burnout for y'all's help.

What are the SSDFP files?
Not really sure. I don't think I see any in my profile folders. Looking it up, I guess it stands for site-specific digital fingerprinting data, but couldn't really find more info than that.
Because we can find a LOT of those in both Opera Stable and Default folders. Just askin'

RE: Need Info About Opera Stable FolderGeneral
@leocg So...in that profile directory there are some other files and folders besides the "Default" folder. The "Default" named folder is quite huge (some 1.4 GB or so) and contains replica named folders and files that also reside in its parent directory, Opera Stable.
Am I to assume ALL the files and folders in the Opera Stable directory except "Default" are also necessary (besides "Default") for Opera One to operate?
Am I making myself clear??

RE: Need Info About Opera Stable FolderGeneral
@leocg Talking about the profile directory; I already knew about the old version number folders in the install directory

Need Info About Opera Stable FolderGeneral
I am on a Windows 10 laptop; the Opera Stable folder has in total some 1.41 GB of files. The default folder has about 1.21 GB of files. The Opera Stable directory minus the default folder, has about 226 MB in it. So...my question is this::
I have auto update disabled, and when a new version of Opera becomes available, I always copy the Opera and the Opera Stable folders to another location before I install the newest Opera over the current one. Are ALL of the files and folders (besides the default folder) needed when a new install is performed??
Thanks (sorry for being so long winded.

RE: Slow Google SearchGeneral
@leocg said in Slow Google Search:
@bbildman Did a search here and the results page loaded almost instantly.
Of interest, I have discovered something interesting in regards to slow searches. If I use my text cursor to mark a word phrase to search for, and the little dark "Search/Copy/Snapshot" thingee pops up, and do the search from THAT "Search," the search takes a while, and while THAT is transpiring I go back to the search term page and right click it and do the search from the right click menu, the search happens instantaneously, even as the first search is trying to finish ITS search!!!
Any ideas, besides to always do the search from the Opera right click menu?

@korol78: Thank you for your feedback! The VPN feature is functioning correctly on our end, so we'd like to understand the issue you're experiencing. Could you please provide more details about the problem? If possible, attach a screenshot in English to help us investigate.
My slow searches using Google has nothing to do with VPN, I am not using it. The issue happens every now and again (enough to be disconcerting). That using DuckDuckGo as my default search engine eliminates the issue tells me that this has something to do with Google and Opera/Chrome. A screenshot will do no good, it will simply show an empty screen and the search ongoing. Also using the Google home page (entering the search term in Google's search box) also works perfectly, even as the search is delayed on another tab. I have not yet tried it with extensions off, but that it happens also in Chrome tells us something (I do not have any extensions in Chrome). I have cleared the cache many times, it does not good.
Hope this helps, and the fact that others have similar issue also tells me it is just not my system, it happened all the way back to O99.

Very slow Google searches, not always but often enough. Disappears when Opera sets default Search engine to DuckDuckGo (or any others beside Google). This has been happening in many previous iterations of Opera for Windows

RE: Slow Google Search When Using The Address BarGeneral
@bbildman Back to Duck, Google on some searches take up to 15 seconds to complete. Will wait for this to shake out.
