would be great to know that even one person, who really take questions and problems seriously and can have an impact and use them, is reading this forum. because this forum is full with helpful input, but it seems that no one cares.

just made the opera 91 update and it seems it is already changed in the version. finally!

Since i updated Opera to new Opera 60.0.3255.27, there is no more Option to see the Sidebar only on Speed-dial page. I think its pretty annoying to have the sidebar fixed, but theres also no option to go to bookmarks etc without having it fixed. In the previous versions it was much better solved. Is there any possibility to have the sidebar just in Speed Dial page?
I also think its pretty annoying how every Update brings new Options, but old Options are just disappearing. Every Update is a pretty surprise, and you have to hope that nothing you liked is now gone. No wonder so much people are running away from Opera.

@ricardob: thats so true. who wants a static feedback smiley on the speed-dial? its crazy how you have to fear, that the next update of opera doesnt fuck up things even more. useless updates, useless functions, instead of making the really important things just right. i loved this browser, now its a mess.

@kmielczarczyk the question is not to quicker access the history from address bar, its to disable it! also disabling to show the bookmarks in address bar is a feature that is wished by users since years, but nothing happens. should be easy to bring a feature like this, but instead of giving an option to disable it, in the new update it got even more present and showing all your bookmarks and history.
since its such a long time and nobody cares is such a shame - and for many users, like you can read also in other forums, been a reason to leave opera.

WTF is Opera doing with the Speed Dial?
A lot of people wanted to hide the useless and annoying Smiley/Feedback from Speed Dial, but what is Opera doing - adding another totally useless Feature with an Envelope-Icon and totally annoying message like "you are the best".
How can this be serious? I dont get it.

i checked the changelog of opera 92 developer, and it seems it will be finally changed back to old behaviour in the future. i mean, as long as they wont change their minds in the meanwhile...

what a pitty, its just distracting and useless

After the update all of my thumbnails in the speeddial are oversized (you can see it in the picture below).
I tried to zoom in and out, and also to delete them and make new thumbnails. It still shows up like that.
In the bookmark (heart) menu, where you can save them and choose the thumbnail picture, its not oversized.

Does anybody knows a solution?

this problem seems to be here for years.
a lot of times, the bookmarks dont to use my "chosen" thumbnail (via "heart menu").
some times its ok, most of the times its just black in the bookmarks menu. in the drop-down menu everything is ok, but its not shown in bookmarks.
when i revisit the sites and try to change the thumbnail, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

so, whats the problem here? its been like that for years now.

at this point, its just ridiculous what opera is doing.
stupid features over and over again, no improvement in the basics, never noticing the needs and comments of long time users..
its like they want to go down.
