Bookmark Help

I have read through multiple threads on bookmarks and am still confused and rather frustrated that simple bookmark management is not available in Opera ...
I am running Opera 29; not sure if it is the latest version because every time it checks for updates, the check fails. I have transferred a reasonably large number (approx 250) bookmarks from Firefox to Opera and have been able to figure out how to organize the folders alphabetically. But the individual bookmarks in each folder are sorted in descending order (Z through A); they were A to Z in Firefox. How do I resort the items within a folder alphabetically. I can manually move things around, but an alpha sort is one of the most basic capabilities.
Also, how do I tell Opera that the default for all bookmark displays is LIST versus the idiotic big icons or whatever they are called.

Afaik you can't order the bookmarks. It's possible only in bookmark's menu.

Not possible atm, you need to change it on every folder.

This lack of basic capability makes little sense. An item from the "Opera Developers" (found in one of my searches) last fall talked about spending a year understanding bookmark needs and yet the feature set is the poorest of any major browser

I suggest getting a bookmarks manager. I use Chrookmarks for Chrome as my bookmarks manager. You can set it to order alphabetically or by date. Then it will do all the work for you. You don't have to go through 100 folders. There's a picture of how it all will look at the link below.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/chrookmarks-chrome-bookma/kcdheengilgkagjehknnnofigbmlnnfj
To download a chrome extension, all you need is the Opera Extension called Download Chrome Extension, or Extension Source Viewer.
And I'm still using with Chrookmarks the Opera extension Add Bookmark, https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/add-bookmark/?display=en, which lets you place the bookmark right where you want to, when you take it, in the bookmark tree, as part of one action.
It works well with Chrookmark. It gives you a "star" in the right of the address bar, and one if you right click on a page. You click on the "star" to make your bookmark.
This setup doesn't negate Opera's native one, which you can still use if you want, but rather, it operates in addition to it.

Is it possible to back up bookmarks? I can't see an option in Opera 29.

Is it possible to delete folders in "Other Speed Dials"? And can I rename these folders found in "Other Speed Dials" somehow?
Lastly, how do I sync Speed Dials between two or more computers, if I want to have the exact same setup of Speed Dials on a couple of computers. Copy & paste is a quite useless option since it will sabotage the order of my speed dials

Nope.

Not possible atm.

I noticed it is indeed possible to delete folders in "Other Speed Dials", at least in version 30 (opera developer). I guess that'll have to do for now.

You need to be careful or you will delete the entries on the device.
On which device? I wanted to remove one set of 'Speed dials' since it was from a work computer which was no longer in use.
