Opera Beta: Booking.com speed dial entry coming back after deletion

I'm using Opera beta 29.0.1795.30. I deleted the booking.com speed dial entry that comes with the default installation months ago, but recently, (last 1-2 weeks) something has been recreating it. It doesn't seem to occur at startup. Perhaps it is being recreated after every update. Is this intentional? If so, please stop. I don't like having to delete it multiple times.

The latest update recreated it, yes. For now just delete it again - but it may come back again with the next update.

It came back again! Stop!
Have you installed Opera again or have updated it?

I haven't manually updated, no. It seems like programmed behavior as lestalia said they were affected as well.

I haven't manually updated, no.
And what about automatic updates?

For me it showed up after I allowed automatic update and went to the about page to check up. It was 29.0.1795.30 update.
I know there is a new update but I won't update until stable or developer brings their updates as well.

Yes. I confirmed the update is bringing the booking.com speed dial entry back. I was able to reproduce it on my work machine too. Are you not affected?
This might be a bit hyperbolic but it looks like Opera is trying to turn their browser into adware if this wasn't some kind of mistake they made.

The only one that I've seen continue to put itself in my SD is Booking.com, which I assumed was a paid ad placement. What other partners are there? If they're going to have paid ads, are they going to have a paid browser version to get rid of the ads?

All "pre loaded" Speed Dials are paid afaik. Usually every "pre loaded" page included in a browser is paid or, at least, is a source of resources for the browser.
