I just downloaded it on my Windows 10 and it would not start at all.

Works here. Have you tried with a new clean profile?

Incorrect icon not shown in the title bar in some window managers under Linux.

        This happens on XFCE.

They say it was a HiPDI issue so I opened opera:flags and it was disabled.
Back to Beta, no drop downs is a big problem.

HiDPI? My OS is set to 120dpi (this is not HiDPI, sorry) and combos do not work. Starting Opera with "--alt-high-dpi-setting=96" option cures combos (and flash scaling problems), but I cannot easily read menus and tab captions and other texts. Bad-bad 😞

And one more problem - Ctrl+Tab not working anymore 😞
And: 30.0.1812.0 - An error occurred while checking for updates - strange.

Fortunately there is beta version to use.

Correction - Ctrl+Tab/Ctrl+Shift+Tab were somehow removed from shortcuts, thereby not (entirely) Opera dev version fault.

Everything above 100 (96 to be true) is hidpi.

                      Try resetting keyboard shortcuts.

Oh, I didn't know 😞 I had impression that HiDPI modes were something more, like 300dpi. Google doesn't help either - this term (HiDPI) is not clearly defined. But it makes me happy to know that I'm already over 10 years used all my PCs in HiDPI mode 🙂

Anyway, Opera is seriosly broken at all non-default (96) dpi settings. Not only current dev version problems, but entire rendering engine behaves often incorrectly at 120dpi.

The pull-down menus in Amazon and Ebay do not work. I thought I ought to bookmark this forum under computers, but the bookmark pull-down doesn't work, either!

                            Screen at default setting of 103dpi. (calculated by <1920 pixels> / <displayed horizontal width>)
                            NVidia driver reports 101 x 101 dpi

New update - Opera developer 30.0.1820.0, the change log, and the announcement 😉

                              Known issues:

                              • Drop-down menus do not display correctly in HiDPI environments on Windows and Linux,

                              • Tab menu is shown even with a single, quick Ctrl+Tab,

                              • Incorrect Opera icon shows in some instances under Linux.

Was waiting for this update but now I have to keep up with more tab switching issues. "Full screen exit pop-up" option is still missing 😃

                                Switching back to beta!

Very strange - this is IMO first time, when real showstopper (non-working dropdowns at higher DPI values) persists over two dev releases. Come-on people, am I really the only user here, using 120dpi screen resolution, opera dev version and want to use some websites, where dropdowns are needed?

                                  Waiting for next release impatiently.

The fix seems not to easy as they thought but they are working on it. It's a developer build so such annoyances may happen.

For now you can use the keyboard. Not the best thing, i agree, but it's a workaround at least.

Thanks for tip - usual win kbd shortcuts (Alt+Down, F4) didn't work, but simple arrows are working - I wouldn't guess myself.

I know that this is dev build (which usually is beta quality anyway), no problem with that. I'm just attempting to raise probability for faster fixing this quirk 🙂

Pull-down menus don't display (there is just a small blank pull-down area). This is at 101 dpi. However, as very helpfully reported above, the up/down cursor arrows reveal the pull-down contents and enable selection.

My Windows version is the latest and works OK. Sorry, I'm not about to boot the horrid thing up, but the larger monitor (27", 1920 x 1080) may mean it is down to the 97 dpi area or lower.
