@leocg hey I'm facing the same issue and I'm in windows 11 pro and don't know what version of opera GX. I have done all the "fixes" that people have said above and even installed the latest version as well as tried the offline installer.

so i had a windows update and ever since opera gx wont respond at all it just doesn't open ive deleted and reinstalled multiple times ive tried run as administrator i have no clue ive disabled my fire wall nothing ive restarted my pc and still nothing at all i need help

@leocg can you just please tell your coding team to please work quickly because even opera support has put a post on twitter and Reddit saying there is a problem so please get them to work fast I’m begging

I've been having the same issue where the splash screen pops up as well as it appearing in task manager, but a moment later it completely disappeared.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled 6 times and restarted 3 times, my firewalls are disabled, and I tried using normal Opera.
I'm using an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and a GTX 1650 Super. I'm on Windows 11 24h2 and the most recent update for GX. I need this for my work.

My WiFi was out all day yesterday and since it came back Opera wont open. It tries to run for about two seconds and then auto closes.

I’ve tried reinstalling, restarting, updating my drivers, pretty much everything I (and google) can think of. I’m stumped.

Yeah I've been getting the exact same problem; when I woke up this morning, it opened for about 10 seconds, and I was really happy, but then it crashed again. Previously, it hadn't got past the splash screen. I tried to uninstall, repair, reinstall, disable autoupdate, roll back to a previous version, but it still hasn't been working. I hope this issue is fixed soon, since clearly a lot of people are having this problem.

I don't know why but I can't open opera gx. I tried using --disable-extensions, reinstalling, repairing but it doesn't work. If I try opening opera gx it will just crash. I also tried using chrome and brave(chromium) and it won't work. The only browser I can use is edge rn
