<![CDATA[GX doesn't open/crashes immediately ]]>I’ve used opera GX now for awhile completely problem free, even yesterday it was working 100% fine. This morning however, I started my computer, and tried to open Opera and it just… didn’t. No boot-up screen then crash, no window flash, no nothing.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled it 5 times.
I have restarted my computer 3 times at various points between reinstalls.
I have tried running as administrator.
I have checked that it’s clear in my windows firewall.

The last thing I tried is uninstalling the app and my user data before reinstalling.
Now it’ll do the boot-up screen, show the logo and play its jingle, then just nothing.
It isn’t in the background on task manager or anything. It just refuses to start.

I have no idea what to do. Please help.

The only thing that works is to change the exe name, but if I do that another issue occurs, discord won’t register opera as a browser so it won’t open links. Idk what to do and am looking for advice

I've tried reinstalling and opening as an administrator, but it doesnt work. ive opened task manager, and opera does pop up along with the crash report but then it immediately closes. how do i fix this?

I tried using --disable-extensions, reinstalling, repairing but it doesn't work. If I try opening opera gx it will just crash. I also tried using chrome and brave(chromium) and it won't work. Previously, it hadn't got past the splash screen. I tried to uninstall, repair, reinstall, disable autoupdate, roll back to a previous version, but it still hasn't been working. I hope this issue is fixed soon, since clearly a lot of people are having this problem.

It tries to run for about two seconds and then auto closes.

I’ve tried reinstalling, restarting, updating my drivers, pretty much everything I (and google) can think of. I’m stumped.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled 6 times and restarted 3 times, my firewalls are disabled, and I tried using normal Opera.
I'm using an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and a GTX 1650 Super. I'm on Windows 11 24h2 and the most recent update for GX. I need this for my work.

I have done all the "fixes" that people have said above and even installed the latest version as well as tried the offline installer.
