Hi everyone. This morning, I tried opening up Opera GX but it's not letting me open it. I tried running it as administrator but to no avail it still didn't open. I redownloaded it with the old and new installer I had on my computer, then I made a computer boot to see what the problem was shown here. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/browsers-not-opening/1480bcaf-efe6-48ef-ac1a-ead845d00921
I also have Chrome on my computer which I don't use as often, and I tried opening that to search up what was the problem to find that it didn't work. 'm currently using Edge to search up and try and fix the problem. I don't know if people are complaining about this issue, but I've noticed that on Reddit people are starting to report the problem. Thanks.

When I came back home today I wanted to launch Opera GX, for some reason it just opened for a millisecond and then closed, no crash report, nothing. So i tried restarting my pc, also didn't work. I tried updating Opera GX via installer, didn't work. Tried Uninstalling and reinstalling (also deinstalled and reinstalled launcher) didn't work. I just don't know what to do anymore. Please help! For some reason when i launch chrome the same thing happens, but that bug was longer there and now it has spread to Opera GX.

Hi,
so basicially today my opera gx will just close when i open it, no crash message, no anything.
this didn't happen yesterday, and i didn't download any suspicious extensions.
i'm using a w10 pc, i tried restarting but it didn't work.
i even tried reinstalling opera gx, however that also didn't work..
now its just the black frame with the animation (if you know what i mean) and it just closes right after.any ideas why this is happening?
thanks,
rainedit: i forgot to mention, i remember opera gx working just fine, but when i opened microsoft store, the issue started for some reason?

This morning, I was trying to go on OperaGX. At first, it was working fine. Then, it suddenly crashed. I haven't been able to get it to start up ever since; it opens for a half second, goes white, and closes itself.
I've done the following things:- Restarted my computer
- Reinstalled OperaGX
- Uninstalled and then reinstalled a new version of it, deleting my user data from it.
- Ran OperaGX as administrator.
As soon as I installed a brand-new version of it, it won't even open at all.
My computer is up to date. I haven't had any problems up until today.
If anybody could help me, I would highly appreciate it.

The main issue is that I was using Opera GX for many years before this and it worked perfectly fine, however, I closed it and needed to reopen it today and now Opera GX doesn't open at all, I can see it running and trying to do something in the task manager but then it stops and disappears.
I have tried reinstalling Opera GX and I have restarted my laptop many times, all my drivers are up to date, and I'm on the newest update of Windows 11.
There was one small period where I could sign out of my personal account (which is the one and only account on this laptop) and could sign back in and Opera GX would launch (as I had automatic start-up on launch activated). However, after about 3 seconds it disappears, this sign in and out trick doesn't work now for whatever reason and restarting the system doesn't make Opera GX launch on start-up as it should. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

When I try to open the browser is instantly crashes and terminates. This became an issue after the most recent update. Before then I never had any issues with the browser and I have been using it for quite some time. I have tried restarting my computer, reinstalling the browser, and repairing any windows files. Nothing has worked so far.

@LORDP1ZZAMAN The same happened to me. Chrome doesn't work either. I've tried everything and it won't open.

When I open it, whether it be directly in the files or through shortcuts, it displays the loading animation. After the loading animation plays it flashes a white window before closing immediately. Looking down it seems I'm not the only one to have to deal with this issue, is the newest opera version just... broken? Tried uninstalling, tried moving it to a different drive, tried restarting, nothing in task manager.

As i see, a lot of people are experiencing this problem. Opera Gx doesnt open, so does Chrome. I have to use Edge to write this. Idk why this is happening, is there any way to fix this yet? Opera doesnt show in Taskmanager and reinstalling Everything didnt help either.

I am having the exact same issue and have tried literally everything in an attempt to get it to open on my surface pro 7 without closing itself straight after.

@rain7890 It's because of the latest update. Before that it was doing just fine,

It was working normally yesterday before it got updated. Today I opened my laptop and noticed my tabs from yesterday were closed. When I tried to open OperaGX again, it crashed and would not open at all after that. I tried everthing but nothing worked. Please help.

@leocg hey I'm facing the same issue and I'm in windows 11 pro and don't know what version of opera GX. I have done all the "fixes" that people have said above and even installed the latest version as well as tried the offline installer.
