      @leocg I think you meant "upload", and no, I click image and am asked to link to another site.

      Of course there's a tag detector, how else do you think images appear?

        @hucker Ah, those tags. The forum uses markdown, so the commands/tags are different.

          @hucker Did you click on the correct button to upload the image? It's the last one on the right, it looks like an image in portrait mode.

            Better to use the standard I see in the other 20 forums I use, and the one imgur (the main site people use for uploading images) uses.

              @leocg I didn't know there were two identical buttons. So portrait photo means upload to Opera, and landscape photo means on another site. Ok....

                @hucker Markdown is a well known and standard language for forums.

                  @leocg "a" standard - there lies the problem, there should be only one standard. so let's use the common one.

                  Not only that, it's very simple. IMG to start, /IMG to stop, just like html.
                  What on earth is this?! Not very clear to a human: (can't insert it, it gets all confused) but an exclamation mark then alt text then a url, what? - All you need is the URL for an image.

                  You're beginning to sound like Apple - let's invent new things and to hell with everyone else.

                  So are you going to answer the original question about cashback?

                    @hucker Markdown has being used for a decade or more, without any issues. And the composer has buttons that make the mofe used actions more easier.

                        @leocg I use BBcode because it's the standard for longer. There was no need to invent another. And if you do, why not support both? I refuse to use a more complicated version for a very simple action.

                          @leocg Then why did you bother reading a post about cashback if you can't answer? Bring back burnout, he was knowledgeable.

                            @hucker Because I was answering the other questions on it.

                            By the way, I just tested disabling cashback on settings page and didn't get the cashback pop-up when visiting associated sites.

                              @leocg Really?

                              Screenshot 2025-05-26 200403.png

                              For every site which uses cashback, this thing flashes and pops up a menu. For every one I have to disable it for that site within the popup. And that only lasts a week, or to the next Opera update, whichever comes first.

                              And since it's disabled in settings, why is that button even there?

                                Image link isn't working here, so I couldn't see where did you disable it.

                                  Yes

                                  Which image? The one in the original post? Obviously just remove the stray [/IMG] the forum didn't understand. The second image is uploaded to Opera forums and isn't a link.

                                    @hucker With cashback enabled:

                                    Captura de tela 2025-05-26 181419.png

                                    With cashback disabled in settings:

                                    Captura de tela 2025-05-26 181517.png

                                    You need to open a new tab with the page, if you just reload it you will still see the cashback badge.

                                      @leocg I closed Opera, opened the link in my email to your post, then opened Ebay, then settings to check. Look:

                                      Screenshot 2025-05-26 222124.png

                                      I don't have the cashback extension, this is a new installation of Opera. Never sure what that was for anyway, it seemed to duplicate everything.

                                        @hucker What version of Opera do you have? Here the text says something different, but could be a translation issue.

                                          @hucker I also checked with version 119 and the cashback badge is not appearing if cashback is disabled in settings.
