The mindfulness browser idea is more than good, thanks, please add interface dark mode option, and force dark mode option on pages also, just like the default Opera browser.

saidtorres3 last edited byYes, I use all Opera browsers (Opera One, Opera Developer, and Opera GX) as if they were separate profiles. Each browser has different logins, and I use them for distinct purposes. The dark mode that Opera provides is essential for me—essentially the #enable-force-dark Chrome flag but with the option to disable it on specific pages. Without this feature, the new Opera Air browser is completely useless to me.
They need to add it ASAP!

mohamedsalah Opera last edited by@M07ammd we started the first version of the browser with a unified theme that uses light colors, our choice was based on the fact that the light colors actually help being more positive and optimistic. We totally understand the need as well to be able to pick a dark mode if you like to. This is something that we have on our product roadmap! so hang in there!

rainlive last edited byI came to write a similar review. The first thing missing is support for dark mode and macOS system settings (light/dark mode). In the evening, in a dark environment, it's uncomfortable to work with a bright white background.

please add dark mode but most importantly make the tabs bigger and wider. as well as moving the close tab "x" button to the right of the tab similar to chrome. Please best regards.

I have a dark wallpaper, so i just selected that in theme and it's as close to darkmode as I can get. Currently a dark soft blue. I do wish I could change the tab colors to match.

@mohamedsalah have you tried to work on anything at night time, there is nothing possitive without dark/night mode, my eyes hurt.... so please add this feature asap or I'll use chrome again

@xanaddams exactly what I was looking for as well.
I enjoy using Opera Air during the day on my work computer, but at night when everything is dark, I really just want everything to be in dark mode. It's not take take away from feeling positive and optimistic, it's about feeling cozy and "off the job".

Adding my request for a Dark Theme. My eyes have a sensitive issues with white backgrounds, so a dark theme is mandatory for me.
Not uninstalling, but it's not something I'll be able to use until I can change page backgrounds. -

@mohamedsalah - light colors are very hard for my eyes to read, so this generalization that they are "more positive and optimistic" is not super inclusive of people with vision problems. I tried using the 3rd party dark mode extension, but it was too buggy. I'm loving Opera Air so far, but really need a dark theme to be sustainable for long term use. Otherwise I'll probably have to go back to Firefox.

@mohamedsalah A Dark mode is badly needed. How is it a fact that light colors help being more positive and optimistic. I am sure many users agrees that without dark mode they will not use this browser. I will have to check back later and see if it is added.
