I'm not even sure what to call the latest insanity in Opera.

While posting to Facebook, whenever I go to attach a photo to a post Opera doesn't display the available files on my computer, but instead offers just a few of what it considers "Downloaded" files. Then I have to click a button to get Opera to "Show all files"

I'm sure someone somewhere must think this is a great idea, but I hate it. Yes, I know, it's only a couple of extra clicks, but they are completely unnecessary and annoying.
Is there some way to turn this nonsense off?

@andrew31415976 Not sure how this gets to be "new", I turned it off on my system last year sometime. Sorry, not on Desktop right now so I can't look up what they call it, but it can be disabled in Settings.

@andrew31415976 Go to settings page and disable Easy Files, to turn off that almost four years old feature.

I have never changed any settings and Opera only started doing this in the last few weeks.

@andrew31415976 Not sure why it changed then, but go to Settings and search (with the search field) for the word "upload". You'll only find one match, though it shows the whole section to you so your highlight will be in the middle of the page on a setting that reads:

Show popup with clipboard and recent downloads when uploading files

Turn that setting to Off, and you're set.

                Thank you. That worked.

I have no idea why it started happening, I certainly had not changed that setting (or any other Opera setting). But turning it off solved the problem. At least this setting exists, which is more than I could say for the people telling me to turn off something called "Easy files" that doesn't exist in Opera One version: 111.0.5168.61

                  There is no such setting.
@sgunhouse gave me the correct setting to fix the problem.

@andrew31415976 That used to be the name. Maybe when they changed the description the old setting didn't carry over?

@andrew31415976 Easy Files is the name of the feature.
