There are no advanced settings, can't enable VPN

There is no "Advanced settings" option in settings. There is also no way to enable the VPN in settings.

Using private browsing and turning on VPN does not do anything, there is no icon for VPN in the adress bar.

@chad38123 Usually that means your region does not allow VPNs, Opera will not list the VPN in settings if it is not legal in your area.

@sgunhouse Thanks for your input. So I live in Australia - is there any listing of what countries ban vpn. I moved from the Brave browser as it didnt work and was fee based.....its for trivial things like podcasts - also I still get ads for youtube - can you suggest a way to stop that? Thanks

@Anygroeg There isn't a list, but I don't think Australia bans Opera's VPN.

Regarding YouTube ads, it's something for a different topic.
