Closing last tab in a workspace closes the whole browser

I haven't used the latest update on Windows yet. But on Mac there's one new issue coming with this update:
Closing the last tab on one particular workspace closes the whole browser even if there's another workspace that has opened at least one tab.
It doesn't matter if it's the primary or the secondary workspace, neither does it matter if you create a new one.

I still have to find out if it's the same with private mode.

I still think it's mainly a Mac problem actually. Because closing last tabs on Mac has always closed the application completely. On Windows Opera behaved differently, where closing the last open tab resulted in opening the startpage.

Maybe there's a clue to change this behavior which isn't welcomed actually but not totally annoying either.
