Tabs no longer loading unless tabs are clicked on.

Why did this change? This is why I don't like updates, everytime opera brute forces an update upon my computer it completely destroys my workflow. I have 32GB of ram, if I want to eat up all of it opening a hundred tabs so that I can browse through them without needing to wait the 3-10 seconds for the page to load, let me! At the very least make it a toggleable option in the settings!
Prior to this latest update (which was brute forced upon me after months of going out of my way to stop it), I could middle click a link, have the tab open, and by the time I clicked the tab the page was already loaded. Now I do that same thing, except when I go to the tab, the entire page now needs to load instead of already being loaded, and this isn't just with opening tabs, when I have a tab that automatically changes the page on its own, youtube being a perfect example, the music or video playlist will now just outright stop until I click the tab to "wake up" said tab.
Who in their right mind thought this kind of change was a good idea? Why would you even implement something like this without a toggle switch? I literally updated for the second time today to see if maybe this was fixed, and not only is it not fixed, its worse because this morning the tabs had information on them so I could figure out which tab I needed, now they just sit there saying "loading..." for anywhere from 15 seconds to a minute or more, how do you mess up tabs this bad?
The only reason I keep using opera is because it was the only browser that could do my preferred style of browsing without needing to mess with things like tampermonkey or greasemonkey. I've been using opera since opera version 12, which in my opinion was the best version, followed by version 23, at which point I had to learn ways to trying to stop these garbage automatic updates that yall have gotten ridiculously pushy and brazen with over the past decade and i absolutely hate it, enough to make an account to whine about it knowing full well nothing will change and ill have to finally go on the hunt for a new browser after just over a decade of use, and it hurts, man. Its like yall are updating for the sake of job security rather than anything of value to users.
