      @swmalinga Thank you but will it work with Opera?

        @sgunhouse Good idea but why I need to do it in first place? Home/Start page is in every browser, why remove it now and forcing people to look for alternative option?

          Yes, I'm using it. Only difference is it places the button on the top right of the extension bar instead of the left side.

                The "home" button can be added with an extension. Only difference is it places the button on the top right of the extension bar instead of the left side.

                    It doesn't even show up on the bar its hidden under extensions cube on the far right so not that useful easer to key Alt + Home key.

                      @blackbeen Just pin it to the bar from the extension cube.

                        @sgunhouse maybe some people don't use bookmarks (ex. on small screen, minimalist interface) just click home button and choice new website from speed dial. Whats a problem to add back this button?? Give a choice in the options.

                          @swmalinga Thanks - that's very useful.

                          However it would have been better if the Opera devs hadn't just arrogantly removed the Start Page button.

                          Hopefully there will be an option to restore it in the next release.

                            Totally agree with you. Seems strange to remove a very useful feature.

                                @darkwind23 Other Opera desktop browsers also don't have the "home" button, so maybe Opera wanted Opera One to also be like that? Maybe the statistics show that the button usage was low? Maybe they just didn't want a home button in the new UI?

                                    @greenpalmer-0 SAme problem. Also X on the tab not shown until you use the mouse. I can't use Opera with my Win10 tablet without any pointer device.

                                      What happened to this button - is there a logical reason why it isn't included in the latest build?

                                        Also in the entire changelog for Opera 100 there is no mention of removing the Start Page button, so how come it has been done?

                                          There are chrome extensions that do the trick (sort of).

                                            But shouldn't need to use an extension - the Start Page button shouldn't have been removed in the first place!
