Crash When Dragging Tabs to New Windows

I am experiencing a bug in Opera One where the browser crashes when I try to drag a tab outside the window to create a new window. This does not happen with all sites, but it happens often enough to be a problem.

The crash happens to me if I try to move a tab from one window to another.

If I try to move a tab from one window into another, Opera crashes.

The same thing happened when I tried to move a tab from one browser instance to another.

Also happens to me on v.100.0.4815.2, regardless of where I am moving the tab. Once I noticed an error message saying something about folder permissions being incorrect or something after a crash, but forgot to take a screenshot of it before closing.

This happens to me too on version 100.0.4815.30
I get no error message. It just crashes and restarts, but all my opened tabs are lost.
This is very frustrating.

@n21lv same thing. I figured it's better not to move tabs between tab islands or turn off the islands feature in the settings - up until developers fix this problem.

@pkt01 I didn't even know this was related to the islands. And to be honest, I never needed this feature.
This should end my frustration with this new version, at least for now. Thanks for the tip.

Same for me - often crashes when I drag tab and try to create new window. Last updates are very bad, consider to move to the new browser,
Any ideas how to fix it?

@nerverean sadly it hasn't gone away, as I previously thought.
I'm also considering switching to another browser.

also finding this once reliable browser now crashes too often. especially in this scenario described. it also sometimes just crashes when just opening a new tab

I just switched to Vivaldi. Seems to be as reliable as Opera once was, but it's also highly customizable.
I'll be staying on it until further notice.
