I just switched to Vivaldi. Seems to be as reliable as Opera once was, but it's also highly customizable.
I'll be staying on it until further notice.

Thanks for the lead on Vivaldi. I too am ditching the formerly stable Opera due to this and other bugs. I'm sick of the crashing.

Yes, I have the same feeling that Opera One teams does not listen this forum. I also reported two bugs, easy reproductibile, and since 2 major versions nothing happened.
