Try this Chrome extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/share-link-via-email/ejdbkikfbnnhmachnnomjfgjbgkcnjkb?hl=en-GB
First you'll need to install the "Download Chrome Extension" to be able to install the extension above from the Chrome store.

Thanks again - I tried your 2nd site which worked fine, but then, the 1st.site produced this reponse:
No search results for 'https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/share-link-via-email/ejdbkikfbnnhmachnnomjfgjbgkcnjkb?hl=en-GB'
Really appreciate your attempt to help and I wonder what went wrong when I attempted to follow your recommendations?

So it seems you need an extension to add this extension to Opera 26, right??

Yes, but that (download chrome extension) allows any Chrome extension to be installed from the Chrome store into Opera (Blink) and functions just like a native Opera extension. Plus it only has to be installed once, and not for every Chrome extension one wished to install.

I am still in limbo like you guys... still on opera 12.16 because of the bookmark problem. Whilst waiting tried Firefox again (because a lot of sites still say they dont take opera) imported Opera bookmarks into FF some trashing but acceptable.... but still like the speed in Opera so I imported the firfox stuff back into 12.16... it show it as "firefox bookmarks" (dont seem to be able to move to top level) but all workable again----- until Opera gets its act sorted out
pete
p.s perhaps someone can comment as Opera now uses Crome ..... does Google see everything we do?

Implying Google doesn't already see everything you do.
Nah, its just built on their renderer. I'm sure they changed all the tracking elements built into it to forward all that info to Opera instead of Google.

The above comment went out in error - my apologies to everyone. In sum - I found nothing in "Chrome Extensions" to address the problem I initially wrote about: a one step URL transmission to my Live Mail program (as in O-12 via "Send Link by Mail" ), of a link, or entire web page. While I thank you all for trying to help, it looks like I will join many others in staying with 12.17 for its much greater flexibility (including the excellent bookmarks facility) - putting up with its somewhat slower speed and occasional incompatibility issues with certain websites. O-26 now really has no advantage over other browsers. IMHO. Thomas

Sorry I couldn't help you. I was just looking through the Chrome store and found this:
Share web pages, images, and links by email or Gmail.
Use this extension to share a web page, an image, or a link with other people using your email or Gmail account. You can use a button or Chrome's right-click context menu. The extension also works with external email programs (like Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird).
Is this what you are looking for? If so, just type in send link by email or gmail and you'll find the extension.

Thanks - yes I did see this one yesterday but didn't pursue it far enough as I thought it only worked with G-mail. I'll try it again when I have more time. Will let you know how I like it. T.

Hi all.
Someone know how to move bookmark panel to left side? TY anywayIf you use new Opera > 12, you can't, so please scream to opera developers: https://forums.opera.com/topic/6682/sidepanel/1

With Add This you can just click on the extension icon and then on the email option to open your default mail client, very similar to what you used to do with Opera Presto.

Thanks, Guys - I got the Chrome extension to work quite well with 2 clicks on the 0-26 site, but, strangely, it seems to clear the screen of the actual website when doing so. Yes, one can click it back - but this seems a strange inconvenience. In any case thanks for your inputs. Thomas

Sadly the new Opera and me somehow didn't work out. We just didn't click. I just tried again since 12.17 is now showing an available update, but it still feels like a downgrade to me.
For Opera like feeling in a Chromium engine I am using the Japanese Browser Sleipnir 4. Tbh it feels a lot more like Opera than the new Opera. Sleipnir 6 is also nice and as actively developed as 4 but it does not have the Opera 12 feel to it.
I am sorry, but I guess I am so used to Opera 12 that I cannot adapt easily.
