What I'd like to know is whether Opera 26 is looking like worth trying?
It claims to have bookmark import (I have a lot of bookmarks, I save all my research links there).
Note I really need my bookmarks sorted in my chosen order, a forced order would be a show-stopper.
I assume it will import all my saved passwords and sessions okay?
I have icons to do assorted things - Open in IE, Open in Chrome, Enable Plugins, Enable JavaScript, Search Site, Open Bookmarks, Open History, etc. Can I have these in 26?
What do people think?
I shall stay with 12.17 - a wonderful intuitive program. My thanks to all of you for trying to sort things out for me.

I've been to "Manage Search Engine" and re-did the title making it: Thomas' (and tried others), added the string and when I input an item in the search widow (properly aligned with the "B") it won't produce a result. I tried "Restoring" Opera with a "new setup" without result. "Google" has disappeared also. Any ideas out there as to how to restore the original "b" window to functionlality?

Clicking on it doesn't bring the page back, but the original tab is still up there and clicking on it does bring the page back. Ridiculous. I think I am really going to continue with 12.17 which still works fine and smoothly and gives one so many more options. 26 has been a huge disappointment and, as others have mentioned, it feels like a retro, pop update rather than any sort of improvement. Peace. T.

We just didn't click. I just tried again since 12.17 is now showing an available update, but it still feels like a downgrade to me.
For Opera like feeling in a Chromium engine I am using the Japanese Browser Sleipnir 4. Tbh it feels a lot more like Opera than the new Opera. Sleipnir 6 is also nice and as actively developed as 4 but it does not have the Opera 12 feel to it.
I am sorry, but I guess I am so used to Opera 12 that I cannot adapt easily.

In sum - I found nothing in "Chrome Extensions" to address the problem I initially wrote about: a one step URL transmission to my Live Mail program (as in O-12 via "Send Link by Mail" ), of a link, or entire web page. While I thank you all for trying to help, it looks like I will join many others in staying with 12.17 for its much greater flexibility (including the excellent bookmarks facility) - putting up with its somewhat slower speed and occasional incompatibility issues with certain websites. O-26 now really has no advantage over other browsers. IMHO. Thomas
