Hello.
I formatted my computer (imac 2020/macos ventura) last week and then I installed Opera and set it as the default browser. I also uploaded my bookmark html file from my previous session and started using it without any problems.
However, since then, whenever I turn the computer off and on again, Opera has signed out on all pages. I have to enter username and password one by one each time. Since I use a password manager, this is not a big problem, but doing dozens of logins per session is a huge waste of time.
I chechked that the "Clear cookies and site data when you quit Opera" tab is turned off in the settings.
I hope you can help.
Thanks.

Hello everyone,
Yesterday, I installed Opera on my MacBook Pro and signed in with my Opera account so that everything can be synchronized (I also use Opera on Windows 11). Unfortunately, I get logged out every time I close the browser, and I have to sign in again when I reopen it. It works fine on Windows 11, but I have no idea what to do on my MacBook Pro. Both my macOS and Opera are up to date.
I have already asked this question in the German-language forum, I hope there won't be any issues with a duplicate post.
I hope someone can offer some advice.
Thank you in advance, and best regards.

The issue is that Opera logs out from everytihng on quit.
Mini M1 - Ventura 13.2.1 - Opera 96.0.4693.80 (arm64)- Clear cookies and site data when you quit Opera-> OFF
- I don't care about cookies -> Disabled
- Opera does remember account details on re-launch (could be due to MacOS), but are logged out from all and require passwords (haven’t messed around with keychain or what the right terminology within Opera is..).
- Have to reconfigure opera sync after re-login (doesn’t remember anything).
- Ethernet is currently routed through a PC as an ad-hoc to aid an bluetooth issue (apparently common), but had the logout issue prior (I also would assume MAC/IP doesn’t change while just quitting and reopening Opera)
- Opera GX installed too, but also on other systems without no issues.

@burnout426 said in Opera is not saving data (or it's being removed):
Test this solution. Remove the Opera Safe Store password from Keychain Access login item.
Steps:
Open Keychain Access application
Choose 'login' keychain on left
Choose 'Password' group
Find 'Opera Safe Storage' entry, right click it and choose Delete.
Legend, Thanks for giving us this info!
