A few days ago I had a problem with the hard drive and the boot files of the operating system were damaged

Seeing myself unable to fix the problem, I decided that the best thing would be to format the partition, the problem is when i tried to recovering the passwords, bookmarks and user history in this browser

Because I don't have a user account, I can't use sync to get through all my files. I decided to try copying the folders where they are located in windows but when trying them on a new system, only the bookmarks and current pages were passed, but not the history and passwords that I had saved there, which were the most important thing

Can someone please tell me where is the folder where they are located?

Or if you can tell me how to do a complete user transfer but manually?

Please, it is very important for me to be able to recover the passwords that I had saved, I would appreciate it.

Ps: English is not my native language, sorry for the mistakes

      Version of Opera and Windows:

@nehosob615 Not certain about history, but passwords and cookies are encrypted to the Windows account. As such, they can'tbe transferred to a new system.

@sgunhouse Soo it's impossible to be able to decrypt the passwords unless you do it on that system?

If I could get into that system, how could I do a clean transfer of my files (bookmarks, history, settings, etc) to another system?

Can it be done without having to create an opera account? Or is it necessary?

@nehosob615 To transfer saved passwords to a new system, you need to use Sync or to export the passwords and import them in the new system.

@nehosob615 You should be able to transfer bookmarks and history by just copying the files and pasting them on the new profile directory.

Settings are protected if I'm not mistaken, so I guess you can not transfer it without using Sync

The location of the folder where your passwords and browsing history are stored can vary depending on the browser you are using. For example, in Google Chrome, the folder is typically located at "C:\Users[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default." In Mozilla Firefox, it is typically located at "C:\Users[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles[Profile Name]."

If you are unable to find the folder, you can try searching for files with the extension .logins or .json.

To manually transfer your user data, you can try copying the entire folder containing the browser's files to a external drive and then pasting it in the same location on the new system. Be sure to backup the files before formating the partition.

Another option is to use a third-party software that can help you backup and restore your browsing data, such as Firefox Backup Tool or ChromePass.
