Update removes snooze tabs

Opera just updated to Version:92.0.4561.21 and snooze tabs no longer works . All tabs are open using RAM and all tab widths are the same ! What is happening ? I am ready to remove Opera and go back to Firefox!

There is no setting now for snooze tabs under user interface .
Have I been "upgraded to GX ? If so how can I tell and remove it and go back to where I was before the update please ?

My speed on opera just went back to ancient mainframe speed with a 5 sec delay on anything happening wtf

Having to use firefox to troubleshoot

(Changed a few settings but not much improvement yet
vpn off
swapped google dns for cloudflare
any ideas please post..)

Admins and developers please reply to this slowness disaster

@nightnews same here . I just removed this update and went back 2 versions and it's ok . This update is a disaster and still the browser keeps demanding I install it!

Thanks for the hint, so my solution was

from C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Local\Programs\Opera

Moved the rogue update folder 92.0.4561.21 in my win 8.1 folders to a backup folder also renaming opera_autoupdate.exe inside it to opera_autoupdate.exe.rem

That broke it when i tried to launch it again lol

So I went back to Version: 91.0.4516.77 (13 10 22)

downloaded and installed it over the broken opera as a fix it solution

sourced from
https://get.geo.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera/desktop/91.0.4516.77/win/

And its now my current Opera folder
C:\Users\winter\AppData\Local\Programs\Opera\91.0.4516.77_0

but also renamed
opera_autoupdate.exe.no

Then installed missing synch bookmark etc imports

Its gone back to being fast phew, so annoying to have to do all of that..

@assybish Unless the installation/update gets really messed up, you can't end having Opera GX over regular Opera and vice-versa.

The snooze setting is still there for me at the URL opera://settings/userInterface.

Try this extension though. Users have had better luck with it than disabling snoozing in Opera.

What does this mean and why delete my fix? That version of Opera 92.0.4561.21 is patently horse manure on win 8.1 and deleting my rollback does not change that fact so explain please?

I was a bit annoyed as we are helping them by spotting glaring fails. I have not updated after my rollback and probably won't until I update this 8.1 box to win 10 pro before the new year.

Would like to know how other users on win 8.1 are finding opera recently. Quite recently but before this glitch, I uninstalled the whole thing and re installed a new version because it was getting er glitchy.

The latest version works ok on a win 11 box elsewhere in the house
