Dual facebook accounts, Opera only remembers one password.

I have two Facebook accounts. Each has a different email address and a different password. Why does Opera think they're the same account? It only remembers the latest password I entered so often gets it wrong.

@leocg Ah, found it. I did that already but for some reason it splodged yellow ink all over the word passwords so I subconsciously ignored it and only read the other two entries. I blame advertising, I always ignore anything in bold or larger font.

Anyway, under facebook, I only have an entry with my 1st email address, not the second one. When I login under the second one, I change the password manually, but Opera thinks it's for the same email address, as Facebook isn't asking me for an email address, so Opera doesn't realise it's two accounts.

Goto the URL opera://settings/passwords and click the "add" button to add the 2nd login manually. For the site, set it to https://www.facebook.com/.

@burnout426 Thanks, I don't know if that worked, since it seems Facebook is now remembering the passwords anyway (I'd ticked a box on the login screen).

Not sure if Opera can improve this if Facebook isn't presenting Opera with the email address. It just shows the account name, not email.

It's possible that Opera is using cookies or cached data to log you into your Facebook account automatically. When you log into Facebook on Opera, the browser may save your login information, including your email address and password, as a cookie or cached data. If you have two Facebook accounts with different login information but use the same browser, Opera may be using the stored information to log you into the wrong account.

To fix this issue, you can try the following steps:

Clear your browsing data: Go to the Opera settings menu and select "Clear browsing data." From there, you can clear your cookies, cache, and other browsing data.

Use a private browsing window: Instead of using the regular browsing window, try using a private browsing window to log into Facebook. This will prevent Opera from storing your login information.

Log out of all Facebook accounts: Log out of both of your Facebook accounts and close the browser. Then, reopen the browser and log into the account you want to use.

Use different browsers: If you have two Facebook accounts, you may want to consider using different browsers for each account. For example, use Opera for one account and Google Chrome for the other.

@madarasan45 Why would it remember them incorrectly? Either it can remember two or one. In either case the password should match the email address.
