      Hi all!

This is sort of a weird wish and I don't seem to find anything on this.

So when reading web articles I have a habit of making screenshots for keeping, and at times select text just to make bits of it stand out in the screenshots so I don't lose track of what made it worth making that screenshot when visiting these later. And there's the pop-up thingys somethings blocking the view. As they make it hard to capture both the selected text + the words around it in one single pic, it's highly inconvenient.

I noticed that the common pop-up "search-copy-share-etc." menu bar can be dismissed if you hold down on the end-points of the selected area of text, but it seems in Opera for Android when you do this there would pop up a new gadget that's a magnifying area.

Is there a way to disable this feature? I have poked in the settings and don't seem to find one. And also I've checked this isn't my phone's settings as the magnifying feature in there is disabled already.

I'd appreciate any pointers you have!

@hardtothinkofany Interestingly, I didn't see this when highlighting text in your post, but I have seen it before. Then again, I was using a Chromebook and not Android proper, so maybe Chromebooks don't do that.

@sgunhouse After testing, I see that it doesn't happen if you have already zoomed the page. That may be why I didn't see it earlier.

Oh! Coming back to add that, in keeping on poking around the app I also found out if you move the ending points of the selected area for a little and release it there would be a state of no menu bar + no magnifier too.

So there're screeenshot accommodations after all! Thanks Opera 🌼
