Dragging URL down on bookmark bar doesn't close the search window

All of a sudden when i want to drag a URL down on bookmark bar to bookmark it, it doesn't close the search window like it used to, so i have to drag to the SIDE and then drag into my folders
On the picture you can see me holding a URL and the search window simply not closing like it used to, so i can't put it anywhere on the bookmark except for furthest left and right. Any idea?

I also have the same issue and don't like the new interface decision. Hopefully they reverse it back to the original.
