If one accepts that an Internet Year is roughly equivalent to 5 ordinary years ( http://www.fatdux.com/blog/2009/09/22/calculating-the-length-of-an-internet-year/ ), the last significant version of Presto Opera - 12.13/4 - works out to about 10 Iyears old, and version 10.63 is around 35 Iyears old. Think in terms of ordinary objects like washers and dryers, automobiles, lawnmowers, or TV's to get a sense of the practical 'age' of the browser. In that regard, questions involving 10.63 really belong in an 'antique browser' section of a forum. Unfortunately, there is no such section here.

We could have an Opera Legacy board...
That about the past and side projects.

We could, could. Until this moment they haven't opened this sub-forum and we are nearing 3 years of the first Chromium-based release, why would they now...? Maybe it isn't healthy to even hint they still give support (through a forum) to the Presto version, as they don't.
          Those questions will disappear eventually.

Please unclose this thread - it is kinda useful: nobody's obliged to post there much or even anymore - there's enough stuff there to just read and learn, how to do things, how to avoid certain things, what happens when you do so and so...

No problem ... obviously nothing offensive there.

My "weather report" has been held again - after a while though.
What was it now? Drizzling? "Wet blanketing cloud"? "Feeling ill"? 🙂

You misspelled "snow" as "show", but not sure why it was held.

                      Again? 💣

I know though: I typed "breethe" instead of "breathe".
This is a bloody spell-checker not a spam filter!

There is an entire website devoted to humorous - or just plain embarrassing - autocorrect errors ...

Steve, have you or anybody else deleted our "Chat" from the Lounge?
Yes, I asked to remove my comment, because I hadn't been paying attention then. I upped the thread by my comment, which was partially my intention, kinda...

                            Found it.
                            Sorry :smurf:
(Yeah, it seems to have sunk back when you deleted that comment. Interesting.)

Threads do that - they are positioned according to the latest post, if the post is removed they return to the earlier position.

Steve, it doesn't seem to be the case now: quite a few spam removed - and I can see it looks weird to say the least.
Or is it not removed but hidden somehow? That'd explain it. :sherlock:

If I delete a post, it drops. If I ban a spammer, it doesn't. I don't know the technical details.

Leo, what about adding a post in one of your "help" threads about using other language sections?
You could also make a screenshot with that globe icon and post it.
To save your privacy, it could be, say, some (semi)public cloud of yours, or some other forum allowing filestore, or some Facebook page or group related to Opera or the community, or I could give you a hint or even upload it for you. I can give you my email by the report button if you like, or you could contact me on Facebook via our Community group there.
Or we can actually create a Page there directly related to the Forums.

I can add it to the Forum F.A.Q. later.

Leo, I see it could be useful to add some pinned thread(s) in "Opera account", e.g. "Opera Account Email", because such questions seem recurrent. Generally, any such recurrent topics could be dealt by adding properly configured threads by a moderator and pinning them. To avoid further random starting of new threads on rather the same topic.

What about adding a FAQ post on installing Opera?
For example, to do a standalone install, you need to first choose a proper file to download, right? Like I used some, and the installation interface didn't even have any "options" at all and I got my Opera folder(s) messed up.
Anyway, any frequently asked questions are due to get in FAQ, right? 😉

When the standalone installer is ready then I will update the FAQ to include it.
