<![CDATA[Reporting and Moderation]]>Well, for now reports are supposedly going a way and a half.
The way is e-mail, the half is instant prompting (working not only if a mod on-site - but s/he has to stare at the screen at the moment).
The way (mailing) is no better: suppose the mod still gets emails when s/he off-site --- now what?

The only way to deal with the above depicted "ways" is throwing them to the trash can.
And making something normal.
Like inline flagging, a mod mode of sorts (a mod can get a table grouping all the reported stuff - with the reasons shown). (Don't forget there might happen a "revoke stock" needed - or not. It's merely a trash can, where certain stuff resides for a limited period of time. In case...)

You know what? Those who report things might be interested that I've found an easy gesture while reporting: when you hit the grey word "Reason" above the typing box, you immediately get skipped to the bottom "Submit" button - instead of having to hit an area or F9 and then using your PgDn key :idea: :sherlock:

Yes, and by this I officially apply to a moderator. Or we can create a new staff item - like curator (two guys have already applied: :psmurf: & :beard: / 😃 ).

What about adding a FAQ post on installing Opera?
For example, to do a standalone install, you need to first choose a proper file to download, right?

When the standalone installer is ready then I will update the FAQ to include it.

Generally, any such recurrent topics could be dealt by adding properly configured threads by a moderator and pinning them. To avoid further random starting of new threads on rather the same topic.

For example, to do a standalone install, you need to first choose a proper file to download, right? Like I used some, and the installation interface didn't even have any "options" at all and I got my Opera folder(s) messed up.
Anyway, any frequently asked questions are due to get in FAQ, right? 😉

You could also make a screenshot with that globe icon and post it.
To save your privacy, it could be, say, some (semi)public cloud of yours, or some other forum allowing filestore, or some Facebook page or group related to Opera or the community, or I could give you a hint or even upload it for you. I can give you my email by the report button if you like, or you could contact me on Facebook via our Community group there.
Or we can actually create a Page there directly related to the Forums.

In that regard, questions involving 10.63 really belong in an 'antique browser' section of a forum. Unfortunately, there is no such section here.

I did it. There's no point in having a topic about installing an outdated version of a discontinued product in an outdated unsupported system taking up the space of other much more relevant topics in the forum sub-categories pages. Users coming to the forums will be best served with topics about the current version.
I hope you understand my view and that doesn't affect negatively in the way you use the forum.
