      @asoundidea Is it a password, or is it just site data?

        @sgunhouse - it's a password that autofills in the login window for a specific website that is associated with my work and which I have to re-enter regularly. It's fine in Firefox and Safari (I don't use Chrome), but I like working in Opera. I just don't understand where it's coming from and why I can't delete it. Arrgghh!

          @asoundidea If it's a saved password, it will be in the passwords manager. So, just go there and remove the site from the list.

          If it's not there, then it isn't a saved password and you will need to provide more info.

            @asoundidea It auto fills both the username and password fields?

              @leocg - it is Not in password manager. The password is correct there. That's why I'm so frustrated. I have no idea where it's coming from.

                @leocg - yes. It autofills both fields, but the username is correct.

                  @asoundidea Then it's probably not coming from Opera's passwords manager.

                    @asoundidea Maybe it's from the keychain or from an extension?

                      @leocg - I checked keychain. It's not there either.

                      Sigh. I guess I'll need to uninstall Opera, scrub everything and try a reinstallation.

                      Thanks anyway,

                        @asoundidea You can try renaming Login Data file in Opera's profile directory to see if the login fields will still be filled.

                        By the way, if you just type the correct password, what happens? There is a prompt asking to update the saved password?

                          @leocg - Hello. There are no issues typing the correct password, but I'm not prompted to save it as the correct password is the one that's already in password manager. Like I said, I have no idea where the persistent password that pre-populates the field is coming from.
