Auto open video downloads?

Is there a method of opening mp3's mov's etc automatically in vlc when I select download for an email attachment?

@fraidyman Opera does not support auto-opening downloads. If it were a link to a streaming service of some kind you might be able to send the address to VLC, but a simple mail attachment is not set up for that and will have to be downloaded.
