      Hi,

Opera mobile (v 65.2.3381.61420) can't connect to local sites when using names (which is indispensable for most).

Instead an error is displayed : This site can't be reached.

It appears Opera doesn't make a request to the network-recommend (DHCP) DNS. How can I enable connection to local sites using domain names?

Edit : I'm not using VPN, and other browsers can connect to the sites. Connection using the IP works in the cases where the sites allow it.

@pierre-maraval Disable VPN and data savings, as both require a proxy (connecting to a computer outside your local network).

@sgunhouse data savings as well as VPN are disabled. I’ve also tried disabling Adblock in case it implies a particular DNS config. It still doesn’t work.

@pierre-maraval by ip adres on your local network, like the ip of your router.

127.0.0.1 is your device ip for example but if it has no server it will not respond.

Try to find ip of your router with network scanner app from Google play. Other devices will show too. With their ip address.

@ginger1984 Some sites and apps only let you connect if you use their domain names. Also htttps, subdomains, etc usually imply the use of a domain name.

Connection to the router works fine.
