Opera 36

I am running a CCTV app that uses Internet Explorer. When I try to log in using Opera it tells me to use an older version 'Opera 36'. Can I have both the current version of Opera and Opera 36 installed on my pc?

@davidknight Opera 36 was the last version that would run on XP or Vista. Not certain why they'd think they need that.
Running multiple versions of Opera is easy, keeping an old version from updating is more difficult. I currently have 3 versions on my system - Developer, Stable, and GX - but all of them are technically current. As long as the installation folders have different names they will keep their profiles separate. And that doesn't even count that a "stand-alone" install keeps all its data in the installation folder. Just make sure to click on the Options link in the installer, either different folders or different install types are available.

@sgunhouse Thank you for your prompt reply.
It's something to do with the software in the CCTV recorder box. Although it's only a year old they say that it needs Internet Explorer, as you know this will be shut down soon.
So, I can download Opera 36 without interfering with my current up to date version and then use that to log in to the CCTV system? -

If you follow what @sgunhouse noted and choose an Opera install into a unique-named installation folder, that installation should remain isolated from any other Opera installation currently on the system - just be sure to open Opera36 and not another installed version when you want to access the CCTV app..
