@voyageur1 I am having the same issue. Installed the Opera update on both laptop and desktop. laptop no issue, Desktop all kinds of issues. Web pages are opening Millimetres out from where they should be, which means i need to drag then in to place. I uninstalled and did a clean install - to no avail. If i hover my mouse on the page it will pick up a site that is there ans open it, but i cant see the site. I either have a black screen or a white screen. It can only be closed from the taskbar.

No issues until the update went through this week.

Have tried the fixes documented to no avail.

your window is somewhere in the virtual space

                    try these:
alt + spacebar + x (it worked for me)

                    or
                    open another program
right click on taskbar and chose cascade windows

                    or
                    alt tab to opera
shift + right click opera icon
and chose move then use arrows or mouse

                    this post explains everything

Opera is running but can't enlarge the window

Preface that this has happened before... Suddenly I cannot enlarge my window. It remains only visible when I hover over it on my task bar with my mouse....

                      Running Windows 10 enterprise.

Not sure if this helps anyone, I have noticed that this problem occurs when the extended monitor switches side, as Opera opens up where it was last closed, so like me at work my monitor is on the left of my laptop, when I go home my monitor is on the right of my laptop, so opera still opens as if there is a screen on the left, I usually just use display settings re-arrange the screen so 2 is on the opposite side, drag opera onto my laptop screen and then go from there

@jiafoongwee Thank you for the tip! I've been trying for hours then when I tried your suggestion, I realised after Windows had updated earlier, Opera was coming up as a tiny pop-up window. I didn't think that it would stay like that so when I re-launched it, it was still minimised.

Hello! I'm running Windows 10 on my computer and I've been using Opera to browse the web for many months. Yesterday however I ran into trouble: my Opera browser remains in the taskbar and my attempts to revive it and use it to browse the web as before seem futile.

Yesterday at noon I left the Opera browser open pinned to the taskbar, with a Youtube page running, and when I got back to it and tried to unpin it from the taskbar to browse Youtube, it no longer lifted up!

Could you please help me relaunch my Opera browser? I have important settings and bookmarks on Opera, that I don't want to lose!

I am sharing here screenshots with Opera pinned to the taskbar, properties of Opera, and also some taskbar settings to show you that Opera doesn't seem to have any processes that need ending! At first I thought Opera was surreptitiously running in the background, but the processes on it had been ended, and Opera has no processes running in either Background processes or Windows processes! So there's no "end task" button I can use to terminate any processes Opera might be running!

And of course I restarted my computer numerous times, and yet I still can't relaunch Opera!

                                Please help me! Thank you!!!!!Screenshot 2021-10-30 110449.jpg Screenshot 2021-10-30 111645.jpg Screenshot 2021-10-30 111835.jpg Screenshot 2021-10-30 113437.jpg Screenshot 2021-10-30 113552.jpg

                                      Hi,

today I wanted to start Opera but it only appears in the bottom line as an icon and doesn't let maximize. I can shut down Opera with right click menu but not maximize.
It seems to run but not in a window, so I have to write this post on MS Edge 😞

                                      Opera.jpg

I believe, yesterday there was an information that opera was updated to a new version.

What can I do without losing links and settings? I cannot save anything because there is no browser window as I described...

                                      Greetings

                                          Hi,

wow, Win + D worked. Alt + Tab did not, for example.

What is this shortcut generally for?

                                          Thank you

I tried solutions I saw in this post and none resolved the issue. The issue began when I was extending my display to an external monitor. When I disconnected the display, the icon in task bar wouldn't launch Opera. After reboot, Opera behaved properly upon reboot but when I removed display, problem recurs.
What seems to have fixed my issue is connecting to an external monitor again - where Opera would launch successfully still. On the removed the Opera Sidebar, What's App was enabled - I right-clicked and managed messengers. Since removing What's App, I have not seen the issue.
I believe that what's app is trying to pop up when I change the monitor configuration. I don't understand what is preventing it from doing so, but that specific messenger integration seems to be the source of my issue.
                                            Good Luck!
